Right and you know theyre gonna stack the pen with lefties... I dont know, I get the reason but just not keen on having Turner be that guy to have to count on in the postseason

My main concern isnt so much in season as yes Busch needs rest days and doing ot against tough lefties is only natural. But My concern is during the postseason, not sure how each potential playoff teams are stacked with LH SP that will start in postseason and lefties overall with the pen, im just not comfortable having to start these series with Turner and Turner at 1B despite the numbers, and why I think Busch should get as many opportunities now against lefties to get himself ready. Plus, you know these teams are going to stack up their pen with lefties for these series against the Cubs so I hope Hoyer will be smart enough to address that at the deadline with the bench.

That would be ideal if the baseball gods are with the Cubs today, start the game and play an inning or 2 then delay for an hour or so and Crochet wont be able to come back out and pitch 😅

It actually Tuesday but he will face the Brewers in the 2nd game. Tomorrow im guessing is the bullpen game or Brown unless they have a surprise for us 🤷♂️

Imagine going 33-13 over that same stretch and still not be in first place 🤷♂️😅 It'll come down to the last 8 head to head games between these two and August should favor the Cubs schedule wise and after roster upgrades at the trade deadline. That 5 game series at home against the Brewers gonna be rocking.

For postseason purposes that exactly what they could use, another late inning arm to help Palencia and keep him fresh, dont want what happened to Chapman (burnout) happen again because of overused.

So it Horton tomorrow and not a bullpen game. So is guess bullpen Monday against the Royals and then either BP or new addition SP on Sunday against the Sox 🤷♂️ Just glad they'll have their 3 best going against the Brewers with Boyd Rea Imanaga.

Ok, we're only talking probably 2 AB versus Bello. So again, I get the splits and that would work if Brujan was decent but given the choice, id rather have the guy who has the better glove over a guy who will likely have the same outcome as him at the plate. 🤷♂️

If Brujan had a heartbeat of success this season then it would be fine, just seems dumb to choose him over just sticking with Shaw and his defense despite what he does with the couple of AB against Bello.
