  1. Slice it up any way you want but bottom line is that Ian Happ just hasn't been producing and getting positive results for 4 months of baseball despite all the metrics that out there. We've been talking about how well he has made contact every month for 4 months straight because of those numbers but yet every month for 4 months his results has been going down. So maybe, hopefully for the cubs sake, he'll actually start getting some positive results the final two months and into the postseason cause they could really use him now.
  2. Yep, I brought those numbers up before and got shot down because I put an asterisk of his 9 HRs to indicate that why his Slg and OPS was up, But his Avg. and OB that month went down again from previous months. He's not having the typical Happ season like most are trying to dictate for him, hes just been plain bad this year.
  3. Happ isnt having his typical streaky season, if you look at his month to month his numbers go down each month and not just a little, compared to last season each month numbers were close to the same and his OPS stayed over 800 each month. For whatever reason he is off this year, i dont even think he played well against the Reds . I know i said IL him and bring up Caissie but in all seriousness if this team going to make a strong push not just for the Division but also for the WS, they really need Happ to get it together.
  4. Put him on IL and bring up Caissie. I doubt Hoyer planning on using him in any deal that worth giving him up
  5. Just looked at box score to see how they scored 3 runs, good thing McGuire and Brujan played tonight because tge regulars sucked ass
  6. They should just put him on IL and bring up Caissie, a move like this can give a team a little spark
  7. I was told you cant talk bad about Happ, that it just bad luck. 🤷‍♂️ Im going to flip on Netflix and continue watching The Vikings, im in the final season. Good show
  8. Pathetic to come out looking this flat again This team is in need of a shot in the arm via new additions to get them rolling.
  9. There's 3 guys I'd hate to see moved and that Caissie, Wiggins, and Rojas. I just hope Hoyer doesn't get stupid with his trades for the sake of either getting an extension or just to get to postseason to make his resume look good for his future endeavors.
  10. This would be a good weekend for the struggling bats to get themselves going and then use that momentum heading into Milwaukee. Especially Happ, Tucker, and Zuki
  11. Id pass on him if they get him as their sole SP addition or as their choice to go between Imanaga and Boyd. If he's that second SP addition to move Rea and or limit Horton and Taillon starts at the bottom of rotation, then im good with it. For this season, I think Alcantara just in a uphill battle with recovery and trying to get himself right again after missing a year with surgery, now next season and after he could be the guy he once was and would be awesome to have in the rotation. But I'd be very surprised if Hoyer spends good assets on him for this season.
  12. Think it took late for any trade addition to come in and be ready to start on Sunday.
  13. If he's who Hoyer wants, i hope he gets him by this weekend so he can make his next start against the Brewers next week instead of with the Royals.
  14. Yea but it was against the Cubs 🤷‍♂️😅
  15. This wasn't what my OP was about, just responding to a poster about the HRs in June and how he has returned to hitting poorly again afterwards and following up his decline each month. And yea, he went on a HR spurt in June with 9 in a couple weeks, that what a spurt is, he hit a bunch of them in a short period of time.
  16. They better not suckass against the Whitesox this weekend
  17. What about this last one? 🤷‍♂️ He's getting whammied today lol
  18. Yep, throw him offspeed and he'll be out in front 99% of the time
