    Not directly, Flyers folded and Boomers became a whole new franchise that replaced them in the Independent League. Cougars are still around but are no longer affiliated as a minor league team anymore, theyre independent now too. After the Cubs, they were with the Dbacks for a couple years, they went independent in 2020. I went to see them when they were with the Cubs, with Almora, Caratini, Bote and Schwarber on the team.

    Even if they loss last night, and with today's blowout , something tells me it would be buisness as usual there. Hoyer/Counsell wont fire coaches because if things dont change, then the next domino to fall would be them at the end of season.

    At least Suzuki had himself a good game with 3 walks and a homer, Kelly with a couple hits, and Ramirez with 2 hits off the bench.

    I could be wrong, im sure he is/was with the Astros and maybe was with a pretty young team in Boston last year, but who knows maybe it takes a little longer to actually be that type of guy coming to a veteran team like the cubs with guys that been there a few years already. 🤷

    No doubt theyre all frustrated and pissesd off, obviously I dont know these guys personally, but this group doesn't have a feel of having someone in that clubhouse who would stand up and be voiceous and ballsy enough to be that type of leader and start calling people out. Counsell seems like a guy who would do it quietly behind closed doors with individuals

    What also sucks about these games being Blowouts early is that if you choose to keep watching you have to listen to and deal with the booth and Taylor saying and doing stupid shitt to keep you entertained 🤣

    Horton and at the time Cabrera aside, I had little confidence in this rotation coming into the season. Was just hoping that Steele could return in time and be affective enough to help Horton and Cabrera. Boy did things go sour once the season started

    Not that I have much confidence in him with this but if there is any kind of offseason with player movements, Cubs will have a decent opportunity to really change their roster up pretty big if they choose to. 4 guys tied to contracts in Swanson Bregman PCA and Maton for a total of 97 mil. Not saying he is or should get 20 new players, just saying that if there ever will be an opportunity for him to change up the look of this roster even a little bit, this offseason could be his best opportunity to do it.
