  1. If Imanaga pitching today, guess they dont plan on pitching him during the WC round
  2. Kelly has mutual option for 7.5 mil, he could very well come back and they can trade Amaya for a pitcher if they feel Ayers is ready enough to at least play behind kelly to start out and eventually increase his PT as the year goes on. Cubs and Ayers would benefit big having him spend a year learning behind Kelly, that my hope at least
  3. I dont want nor think theyd ever go to 120 games but I think if forever crazy reason they would, I think the offseason would remain the same, they would just give them more days off and basically play 20 games a month.
  4. This offseason would be sorta perfect for Hoyer to change a bit of the dynamic of this team, with alot of payroll opening up. With Happ, and Suzuki being FA, maybe trading Amaya and bringing up Ayers. Build the bench up around Pedro. Go out and get some power arms for the bullpen, add a solid starter ot two to go with Steele. He should be very active this offseason if the CBA stuff doesn't kill it
  5. I dont care either, im less excited about this team chances then I was with 2015. Even if they get a starter to go a decent 5 innings, then you need to hope the bats are putting up a few runs, and pray the bullpen can get them 4 good ones. Just too much needs to go right for them in a series
  6. Pretty crazy that they get good pitching all week and its the bats that played flat. Pretty lackluster performance all week, Counsell and coaching staff needed to do better with getting these guys up and ready to play these last 5-6 games and fighting for home field. They're about to go 1-4 while scoring just 9 runs total.
  7. My point wasn't who you'd go with, but its pretty wild that they dont have that guy or two guys you know youre handing the ball to, not who you think is best.
  8. They have options but theres no set 2 guys that you're saying will definitely get the ball, theyre just, who do we think gives them the better chance to win. Last year you knew for sure game 1 was Boyd and Imanaga was game 2, that the difference. Playoff teams usually know who getting the ball for game 1 and 2, not options
  9. Boog asking JD who definitely starting Tuesday and Wednesday, and he cant really answer that question. Never heard of a team in the playoffs where you dont have 1 or 2 guys you know are the guys getting the ball 🙄🙄
  10. Not sure which is more sad the RISP or LOB 5 for 51 since game 1 of Marlins series 43 LOB 🙄🙄🙄
  11. Too bad it not like before when you can load the roster with AAA guys, cause now would be the time to just say fuk it and put in the AAA guys to finish out the game 😅
  12. Yea but being at home needing to hold off Arizona and an outside chance to catch SD might ignite them for a couple games.. We'll see how the Rays approach these games with their pitching and resting regulars
  13. Padres are play Arizona and Phillies are at home against the Rays who are probably resting guys. So yea, i think its about 99% sure theyre going to Atlanta
  14. Atlanta can be like a home game, Cubs fans travel well and Braves fans usually dont show up in early playoff rounds 😅
  15. Anthony Rizzo agrees 😅 Most of these guys looks like they went in tank mode all week, they scored 9 on Sunday and have a total of 9 in the next 4 games.
  16. Bregman challenges a sure strike, Swanson just stares and doesn't challenge one that went around the plate 😅
