I get what youre saying, and that probably the only hope they have and hopefully is Counsell plan. is to add Rea, Brown, etc.. pitchers that can go 3-4 innings in the bullpen, and then hope to get a solid 4 from their SP and then follow up with another starter to get 3-4 innings.
Problem will be hoping these pitchers wont be giving up multiple runs, cause they all aren't the most reliable starters.
Then, the Jeckyll and Hyde bats...
It like every other week these guys go through a handful of games where they look like they can't do anything against good or bad pitchers.
Phillies have 3 solid starters, Dbacks have 3 solid starters, Dodgers have 3 solid starters if Ohtani pitches, Braves have 2 really good starters, Brewers have Mis., and Padres have King.
So, its not going to be easy for the bats to help out the pitching if they're giving up those 4+ runs.
There's no see i told you so with this team because everyone can see that this team dont have the "pitching" or that stopper SP that can carry a team through the postseason.
They have a good shot at getting through the WC round if they can hold onto the 1 seed, but the only real hope for this team to get through Division round or further is for these pitchers to pitch way over what theyve been doing all season and pretty much everyone in the lineup are hitting.
I'd rather be told to hand in my 2026 fan card and see these guys get to the WS, then be one of many that dont see this team with enough good pitching to get to the NLCS
