  1. Most of their games lately have been boring, even when they do score it either been early and nothing, or nothing and score late.
  2. Yeh, they should probably just announce now a time change for around a 345 start, that when the radar shows it moving away.
  3. Crazy part was, the 2 least expected guys you'd expect to come through with big 2 out hits to keep it going did... Suzuki and Swanson
  4. I really hope this turns it around for them, next 12 games against Giants and Rockies combined 28 under 500, go win all 12 damnit
  5. Kudos to Happ for getting the comeback started with the 2 run blast and the big double
  6. Stop the presses folks Not a fake Rally and Swanson came through
  7. Cubs starters ERA These are the guys that gonna be counted on to hold it down until theyre supposed to get help in 2 months. Imanaga 4.74 Cabrera 4.00 Boyd 6.00 Taillon 5.13 Rea 4.59 Brown on an island by himself 1.92
  8. Of course they wait til theyre down a few to score 1, so thatll be it for them tonight 🙄
  9. Lmao Maybe the guys with the NTC will waive just to get out and play for a team that will actually make the playoffs 🤷
  10. Boog says these words alot.. Swing and a miss Pops it up Cubs are down in order 😅
  11. You knew one was coming, was just a matter of when and if it were going to be a solo shot or not
  12. Obviously most of the AB are going to be early and low leverage , this was just to break down his 1000 hits in those situations is all.
  13. Had me interested to see how many of his hits came in clutch situations. A statistical breakdown of how his milestone 1,001 hits are distributed by game leverage on Baseball-Reference reveals the following: High Leverage (Game-deciding moments): 239 hits Medium Leverage (Important middle innings): 295 hits Low Leverage (Blowouts or early innings): 467 hits
  14. Great AB by Bregman and Happ there... The curse of the RISP continues 🙄
  15. Doesn't matter what their track record was before the season, what matters is how they have performed this season, which hasn't been all that great. Who will be available come July, we'll see, will Jed add a bat, who knows, and yes the guys they have will most definitely need to pick it up , but you cant sit here today and say theyll be fine as is and dont need help. Can that change over the next 6-8 weeks, sure, they all can just flip a switch and start playing their asses off, but now, today, they need help if they dont.
  16. Gonna put money on pitching considering Imanaga gonna have to suck up some innings because they had to use everyone up to get the final 9 outs. But im sure the bats will figure a way to participate in the loss 🙄🙄
  17. As of right now, the needs for this team is far more than Skubal. Skubal would be the king of the rotation but will Imanaga Cabrera Boyd Brown Taillon be enough or good enough to hold up their end of it, or would they just be a combined toss up of what they might get from them the rest of way They definitely need a middle of order run producing bat, they have a huge hole there with RISP. Likely spot to fill that hole would be DH. They obviously could use help in the pen, they do have like 3-4 good arms, 1 or 2 more really good ones can go along way. I dont know if Jed has what it takes to make these moves, if im correct, I believe he likes to wait as long as possible before deciding on if he gonna pull the trigger on deals and mostly doesn't.
  18. We were pretty much scratching our heads trying to figure out how they were winning most of those games, they certainly had us fooled
  19. Why Hoyer should be kicked to the curb.. 245 mil payroll on a team that sinking faster then the Titanic, has little to anything worth trading for any decent return, and any decent prospects he has in Iowa will likely not be able to get a decent look the last 2 months because he cant move guys out so they can play. This could end up being a lost season in more ways than one
