  1. But what if he pulls a Castellanos in those 8 games and hits like 5 homers 😅
  2. Yes I agree with McMahon, I actually said a while back that I think he'll be the one they probably get if they decide to make a move there. Just saying, if theyre looking to add a 3Bmen sooner rather then waiting til closer to deadline, Suarez not Hayes or anyone else should be on their radar now and do what it takes to bring him in until the asking price is too crazy or AZ decides to keep him or move him elsewhere.
  3. This needs some serious upgrading, IF Hoyer dont want to add to payroll or use up prospects to address this, they probably would be better if they just added guys from Iowa and get better production then this. I know bench guys these days aren't counted on a whole lot, but damn, they should at least be useful when needed and not hurt the team more then help. Jon Berti: .202/.256/.226 40 wRC+ -0.3 WAR Vidal Brujan: .161/.188/.226 13 wRC+ -0.2 WAR Justin Turner: .202/.289/.262 61 wRC+ -0.3 WAR
  4. Yep, July 2023, I would be saying get this done yesterday, now it a pass for me.
  5. Ehhh, they CAN do much better if Hoyer willing to move their better prospects. If an upgrade is to be made at 3B, it should be Suarez or nobody.
  6. So after a 13-13 month they only lose 1 game off their lead when it started. Theyll be ok
  7. Gotta sweep the Pirates, be nice to get 2 against Cleveland and Boston, Mets will be tough in NY so just try and get 1 there at least. If they go 7-5 at worse, I'd be happy
  8. He hurt his wrist in 2008, was never the same afterwards and it ended his MLB career. Before then he was an awesome bench guy
  9. Collapse ????? They went 13-13 in June They had a 3 game lead heading into June 1st, at worse if Brewers win it'll be a 1 game lead. Dropping 2 games off a lead after 26 games is far from a collapse, and it may only be 1 game if Rockies can win in extras. Theyll be ok
  10. Yea, theres no need to panick now. Scoreboard watching dont start til August and this team roster wise will or should look a little bit different come then. Considering what they went through the first 3 months with the SP, entering July first in first place no matter the lead amount if definitely a positive. 12 games to go before the break, just stay on top and hopefully Hoyer will start making some positive additions and subtraction to the roster afterwards and then take care of buisness the final 2 months.
  11. Absolutely, im old school when it comes to the bench. Give me Thad Bosley, Richie Hebner, Lenny Harris i can go on and on 😅😅 Now and mainly cause of DH and a million relievers cause starters are only asked to go 6 innings, like you said it versatility guys and guys who can run fast. My favorite Cubs bench was 1984s
  12. I predicted a Taillon QS, fell an inning short and a 4-2 win 🤷‍♂️
  13. Ehhhh..lol I mean if it was just between having him or Brujan It like asking if you wanna be punched on the right side or left side of your face 😅☹️
  14. Yep, why i always advocate for better bench players when needed. Not looking for AllStars, just having a couple guys that can be reliable enough to be counted on when their opportunity comes.
  15. Happ with a i need to go home and do my podcast type of AB there 🙄🙄
  16. That AB was predictable... Come on Happ, do something today
  17. Lmao, Brujan in to PH. They scared now Damn Busch, just a single would of been good there
  18. Ok, here we go, got a break with Nico ball, let cash in. Here's the difference, Astros manager not pressing his luck here and pulling Valdez and hes been dominating today.
  19. Im sure we'd be reading complaints had a pen arm gave up the runs. Just saying CC and Hottovy should of had that planned ahead of time with him already in the 90s pitches. no matter who was up which was actually Paredes after a leadoff single. Ok, he pressed it and let him get Paredes and he flied out to RF, but then he hit the press your luck button again with Meyers and got lucky again, doing it a third time, he was just asking for that Whammy 😅
  20. Just gotta keep them at 2 and just hope they can score eventually, it only takes 1 baserunner and a deep one.
