  1. Hoerner been eating his wheaties lately, that 3 this week 😅 Got the lead back
  2. Yea I'd be really surprised if Hoyer chose to keep Shaw over Smith if he had the choice of which one to keep and send. I hope this is Rea last inning, theres no way I allow him to go 3 times through the order.
  3. Thought he was out, looked like he caught ball with glove on his ass.
  4. Hate when they cant get that big hit to knock in extra runs.
  5. Isn't he part of reason why theyre having a good season team wise and in first place
  6. Shaw wasn't part of the trade, it was about who had won the trade. It Jed job if hes still with them this offseason to convince TR to open the checkbook for Tucker.
  7. We might only need 162 games if Tucker don't resign and they dont win the WS, if Cam becomes just an everyday average player for them it'll be a win for Houston.
  8. This rotation been holding together by duct tape the first 3 months and it starting to become undone lately. 34 yo Boyd been having a career year so far, hopefully it continues. 34 yo Rea belongs in the bullpen and theres no guarentee he'll be any good there either. 33 yo Taillon is looking more like 2023 Taillon then 2024 Taillon. Horton has 9 career starts now and is like most rookie pitchers having up and down games, been pretty good but has struggled now in 3 of last 4 starts. So basically it been Imanaga, Boyd and pray for offense and a good bullpen day. Hoyer will need to decide how much of and who of the current prospects hes willing to give up to upgrade the rotation, they definitely need a TOR guy and it wouldn't be a bad thing if they got another to take Horton spot, more to not over work Horton the final 2 months of season and to limit his innings.
  9. Who the heck voting for Carson Kelly as an All Star as he made it to the second round 😅
  10. Might as well been , at least he was able to catch his breath for the next 3 batters before going to play short 🙄
  11. Brewers are always a threat but they tend to not improve on their roster much if at all at the deadline, so the Cubs or even the Cardinals if they choose to add to payroll ( I dont think they will this season) can upgrade enough to pass them or distance themselves from the Brewers eventually.
  12. I dont know the Astros SP situation but yea i would guess they could be thinking because of Rea being on the mound they could afford going with a bullpen game or sn opener and first time Starter from their system.
  13. Yes, I think Jed sacrificed a future piece to bring in the best hitter available that also fit under the budget for 1 year to compete. Now that theyre in a very good position to not just win a weakened division but also now compete for a league championship and go to the WS, Jed might have to give up their best prospect in Caissie to get an elite SP to continue to keep that opportunity strong in the second half of season. Here the downside to that.. If they dont win the WS and they also end up not resigning Tucker, now they not only end up on losing Cam for a 1 year rental but now they lose Caissie who is probably the current back up plan for losing out on Tucker to FA. So, I know prospects are crap shoot but damn can you imagine in 3 years we're watching both Cam Smith and Owen Caissie turning into All Stars and top players in the league for 1 year of good baseball, that would be the Cubs luck.🤦‍♂️
  14. Are there more starting lefty pitchers then usual this season, just seems like theyre always facing a lefty.
  15. This time it looked like Palencia barked at him during his celebration, unless he was responding to something WC was saying to him. 😅
  16. Palencia is a dude.. W 4 games in St. Louis off the schedule and lose no ground. Gave up 16 runs the first 2 games and shut them out the next 2, now that how you rebound.
  17. He wanted to hit a 5 run homer 😅 He always gets mad when he gets hit
