  1. Yes, they could use Shaw in a bit of a Zobrist role to give guys much needed days off down the stretch. I hope that is the plan
  2. Right, that what I was shooting for but got distracted by Swanson hit..lol
  3. Must be a full moon tonight with those 3 happening in the same game 😅
  4. If the Cubs do get Suarez, I hope either Shaw just moves to the bench or is used to get a real stud SP with control left on his contract
  5. For me, I just hope Hoyer can get what they need without trading Caissie, Wiggins, or Rojas. But like I said if getting Suarez means they dont get a better SP then what they get because of the assets they needed to get Suarez, id ratheruse those assets on the better SP.
  6. Id love Suarez but the problem with getting him will be the cost of prospects Arizona is likely going to want for a rental . I'd rather they use some of that asset towards pitching and just get themselves a solid LH bench guy that can play 3B
  7. Alright Happ, tell us to fucks off and get hot now. Let Go
  8. Don't teams usually shutdown or limit their young starters pennant chase or not in September
  9. He been getting on base with the walks but hasn't been productive like you need him getting those big hits the last couple weeks, plus just 2 XBH 1 Dbl 1 HR all month of July.
  10. As soon as the Cubs get a baserunner, theyre going to start scoring runs by the bunches
  11. Ok, but has he been at 101 at this point in the season before to where we can say no big deal hes been this low late in July before and pumped it up the final 2 months to get to 115-120?
  12. Not arguing just curious, over the last couple seasons has his ops+ been as low as it is now at the end of July to where he has heated up in the final 2 months to raise it to 115-120 ? Or is this his lowest ever at this point in the season?
  13. Slice it up any way you want but bottom line is that Ian Happ just hasn't been producing and getting positive results for 4 months of baseball despite all the metrics that out there. We've been talking about how well he has made contact every month for 4 months straight because of those numbers but yet every month for 4 months his results has been going down. So maybe, hopefully for the cubs sake, he'll actually start getting some positive results the final two months and into the postseason cause they could really use him now.
  14. Yep, I brought those numbers up before and got shot down because I put an asterisk of his 9 HRs to indicate that why his Slg and OPS was up, But his Avg. and OB that month went down again from previous months. He's not having the typical Happ season like most are trying to dictate for him, hes just been plain bad this year.
  15. Happ isnt having his typical streaky season, if you look at his month to month his numbers go down each month and not just a little, compared to last season each month numbers were close to the same and his OPS stayed over 800 each month. For whatever reason he is off this year, i dont even think he played well against the Reds . I know i said IL him and bring up Caissie but in all seriousness if this team going to make a strong push not just for the Division but also for the WS, they really need Happ to get it together.
  16. Put him on IL and bring up Caissie. I doubt Hoyer planning on using him in any deal that worth giving him up
  17. Just looked at box score to see how they scored 3 runs, good thing McGuire and Brujan played tonight because tge regulars sucked ass
