  1. There really isn't one guy on this team right now that I have confidence in them to get a hit. They're all hitting under .260 and half of them are under .220 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  2. There no way he worse at hitting then those two..
  3. What am I missing with Bote that they prefer Mastrobuoni and Madrigal over giving him another opportunity He can play 1B 2B 3B and corner outfield
  4. Cubs have loss all 4 of Steele starts this season, time to get a win...
  5. Got The right guys coming up, maybe one can get the ball up into that wind to carry out.
  6. Very winnable game, just need someone or two to get a clutch hit
  7. Suzuki and Bellinger 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  8. Miller turning out to be a really good pick up by Hoyer
  9. Cubs just can't get anything up into that wind, everything on the ground. 4 walks and a hit batter, can't take advantage of it.
  10. Right, and they needed a PB to get one of the 2 runs home..
  11. Signs of a struggling offense, just can't get that big hit with guys in scoring position. Need walks, HBP, WP , PB to get runs home
  12. We might see Hendricks tonight if Assad can't find the strike zone 🙄
  13. Just found out that Brennen Davis dad is former bull Reggie Theus... 👀
  14. I think at the start we probably will see him get the bottom part of order at most, 6-9 guys. So 4 to 6 outs at best to start with.
  15. You need guys who can hit better then .200 Not saying they should have 4 guys hitting 300 plus, just guys that when they do play they're not stiffs at the plate and no better then having a pitcher hit.
  16. He'll be there til guys get healthy and return, then he'll be released .. My opinion
  17. This is why you don't take a bench for granted when putting a roster together. Injuries and slumps happen throughout the season and you need guys that are capable enough to fill in and contribute some. Cubs bench have guys who couldn't hit out of a wet paper bag with a sword... 🤦‍♂️😅
  18. As much as I'd like to see Hoyer get aggressive early and add a bat to help the offense out, I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. They're about 5 mil under the first Threshold, so if they do add any salary it would likely wait til July or the deadline when the cost will be reduced by at least half or more. I also think they're hoping with the return of Swanson and Hoerner giving them a full healthy lineup, they will hope that gives them a spark. And I think they also are hoping that guys that have been cold and not even close to hitting their average will get it going soon and the offense will start to click. So, yeah I think Hoyer will wait til July before looking to add a significant bat to the starting lineup if needed, if anything he may look to add one to DH in June if the lineup is still in need of help.
