  1. Magic number has been 4 runs allowed so far this season, keep them 4 or less they obviously have a great chance to win, when giving up 5+ they are 7 and 7. Be nice if Brown can give them a quality start today and the offense strikes early with a few runs for him.
  2. Biggest cause for oblique strains is heavy lifting such as weights which is a big norm for athletes these days. add that to all the normal twisting, throwing motions, and bending a baseball player does every day and boom it due to happen more now. Same with the hamstring issues, Compared to way back in the day when Athletes just mostly stretched, did light lifting, and ran to stay fit, these guys now do some heavy lifting which builds up muscles but increases the chance of strains and pulls if they're not stretched out enough to deal with all the movements they do in games.
  3. He's gone... https://x.com/Cubs/status/1926347009914450410?t=qYXfnWLs-YSiKEY_YT91JQ&s=19
  4. If or When Hoyer looks to trade for a SP, my guess it'll be for someone that either in last year of contract or only has a year left. Likely will be owed around 10 mil or alot less for remainder of season when they get him. Hoyer should be looking at possible available closers/late innings guys from teams under 500 when they get into June.
  5. Theyll likely want pitching prospects in return and if they're willing to trade him to a divisional team, plus he's under team control for 4 more years, it gonna cost. Id trade Brown, Wicks, and ??
  6. 11 runs in last 3 innings when it was looking bleak... 🤣😅
  7. He gets to pick and choose when he wants to work lol.. I hope they just give Cohen the job full time next year
  8. I wouldn't start worrying about extending him til 2027 season when he becomes ARB eligible, he's not even a FA until after the 2030 season. Tucker the guy they need to work on now
  9. There's one, let go PCA Holy fucks, he did it Cubs lead
  10. No it not, but the talk of 6 man rotation on here has been going on for a couple years now, not sure it ever really going to happen. It'll be interesting to see what Hoyer does, they could use another top starter even when Imanaga returns, I guess it'll come down to who has been the least successful between The others.
  11. That the problem in itself, like I said it too early to make a significant trade now, and if he does find a team willing to give up a solid starter now, it will cost big time with prospects. It going to be tough continuing this pace with these Starters and Bullpen, especially if and or when the bats quiet down a bit at some point, they need Imanaga back and they need to get to July to make some trades to upgrade the pitching.
  12. Unless the bats can get going in next couple innings, this may end up being a white flag game to save the pen.
  13. Probably could of used a couple games in Iowa before returning 🤷‍♂️🤔
  14. Ok, let start chipping away now and get a run here
  15. No it not, I dont get fidgety til the opponents get 4, that been my max with the way the offense has been so far.
  16. You know damn well this group of starters not gonna hold up, they barely get to 6 ip and they have benefited alot by the offense. It was already going to be tough without Steele, now they need to hold up until mid- late June without Imanaga. The bullpen isn't exactly reliable
