  1. No Brown, No Wicks so Hendricks back in the rotation 😅 https://x.com/BleacherNation/status/1801691065314840804?t=CKD0MQ2KXcKNfUVKE2IaSA&s=19
  2. Problem not going to be Hendricks today, even if he gives up 2-3 runs, it going to be the bats not scoring and or the bullpen not holding.
  3. If PCA was batting 2nd, he would've bunted him there 🤷‍♂️😏😏😏😅
  4. Staying status quo doesn't make it better either, so why not take a look at someone that hasn't had an opportunity yet ? If there's no moves to be made outside the organization yet to help the bullpen then its time to see if someone in the system can get the job done over the recycling of arms that they have been using and failing with.
  5. One is 22 and possibly the CFer of the future and the other is a 27 yo utility player.
  6. Ehhh. They can't score with or without him in the lineup, let the kid play. He went 3 for 11 in Tampa, that should earn him to continue to start. Tauchman has been garbage lately in a 6 for 35 slump, we don't really need to see him play all the time now, he is what he is a 4th OFer. Let the kid play even if he doesn't hit, his defense, speed, and even bunting ability could help win games.
  7. Doesn't just have to be bats added to the 40, could be pen arms. Edwards has pitched well enough in Iowa, he has earned a shot. Blow games, lose games they can't afford to fall too many more games behind between now and the deadline. They're 3 games under and 8 back of the Brewers, so any hopes in catching the Brewers are slowly fading. As for a WC spot, Braves and Padres will likely add and get even better and tougher to catch. So, are they just gonna sit until mid July or so and hope to stay relevant enough to make some bandade moves for that last WC spot ?
  8. Problem is, the Cubs need to start making moves now, they can't afford to wait until mid July or the deadline to make significant moves because by then it'll likely be too late to recover from the hole they're buried in if they continue to blow away games. Then there's the question of will Rickett go above the Threshold to add those significant players as they are currently just 4 mil below it. They also need to move players like Madrigal and Mastrobuoni off the 40 so they can add and bring up kids that can help now. So, yes they can turn things around but they need to get that process started sooner rather then later before it may be too late.
  9. Cubs have starting pitching, that it.. Problem is, these guys get pulled after 6 or in the 7th and can't win these games
  10. Cubs pitchers are pitching in stressful situations like it's bases loaded no outs in every inning because of how bad the offense has been. They pretty much need to be perfect with every pitch and have no wiggle room for mistakes even with a 2 run lead cause it could be all they get the rest of game.
  11. I'm reliving the 80s, Small Ball is back I honestly never ever seen 3 straight successful bunts in a row 😅
  12. I think Hoyer has Gomes around because he reminds him of Ross with the grey beard... Grandpa Gomes 😅
  13. Here we go, tying run on base 1 out Neris makes me NerVis on the mound
  14. That what I was saying yesterday 😅
  15. Belli bomb.. We can worry again 😏😏😏
  16. Won't have to worry about the bullpen blowing this one, the bats are done scoring tonight.
  17. Those kids might surprise you by then.
  18. I just noticed, does Siri have earrings dangling from his ears ? 😅
  19. Did they really ? I was only kidding when I said they should look into getting him Now they listen to me 😅
  20. Right, why I think it'll be in the best interest of the Cubs for theirs and Marquee sake to make sure they have a winning team in August. Comcast not going to negotiate in good faith if the Cubs aren't playing well, cause they won't gain customers that will add Marquee to watch a losing team and will likely lose subscribers to Marquee in September and over the winter.
  21. Marquee and Comcast deal ends in September, so if a deal doesn't get worked out between Marquee and Comcast the largest cable provider in the Chicago market this could be the end of Marquee. With this in mind, one would think or hope that the pressure would be on Rickett and Hoyer to do whatever possible to make sure the team is more competitive and in the thick of things by August in order to give Comcast a legitimate reason to extend the contract with Marquee not just to finish out this season but going forward. So, hopefully maybe, there is a chance that we may see some legitimate upgrades to this roster in July and the Ws will come more often.
  22. This is how bad it been, and the only difference is the 2 games they beat them. The Chicago White Sox have a record of 8-22 in their last 30 games The Chicago Cubs have a record of 10-20 in their last 30 games Welcome to baseball in Chicago
