  1. Yea but he gonna be 33 next season and the question will be, will he be a 2021, 2023 Taillon or 2022, 2024 Taillon ? He seems to be an every other year guy
  2. He'll be a good trade bait in offseason for a bat if they plan on getting an upgrade SP to go with Steele and Imanaga at TOR
  3. Yep, him and Paredes haven't quite changed my mind about them the last month.
  4. Yes he had the one inning but I'm impressed by Wicks outing today..
  5. Good strategy, walk the power hitters and go after the rest 😅
  6. Who knows, I bet he has missed half the games. I like Cohen, he does the Iowa games. I wouldn't mind if he took over full time, he would know the young guys that are and comes up well.
  7. I'm kinda hoping he opts in and the Cubs can trade him just to be able to get something good in return over losing him for nothing if he opts out. Not sure how close to major league ready they view Caissie and Alcantara, but with them two along with PCA, Happ, Suzuki, and even Tauchman they're going to have some decisions to make and that don't include IF they have any FA outfielders they'd like to try and get. Hoyer will be in good position to really build up a solid roster with prospects, trade access, and money along with who already on the roster.
  8. Nice way to make up for 2 losses, a blowout and a combined no hitter... Probably won't make the playoffs but games like this are fun to watch in September.
  9. Don't necessarily have to be up on opening day, but I'm sure Caissie, Shaw, Alcantara, Ballesteros, and a couple pitchers will be making their debuts next season. As far as releases, they can start woth Wisdom, and Mastrobuoni. Hendricks can go on IL for whatever they can get away with. Armstrong, Neely, Wingenter. Not saying all of them but those are candidates that can go bye bye
  10. Both Steele and Lopez go on IL.. Time to start releasing and bring up the kids that'll be a part of next season roster
  11. He most likely isn't on this current roster
  12. Anyone looking for more then 3 years 🤷‍♂️
  13. At least they gave us 3 days of meaningful baseball in September, unfortunate they had to lose 2 of them or about to.
  14. A bullpen game now for the final 5 chasing 2 runs, at least it not 7.
  15. Well that two opportunities wasted, at least they're getting the pitch count up, he likely won't go more then 5.
  16. I hope that won't be their best chance to score tonight, and of course Kyle gets in trouble after 2 outs...
  17. Anyone familiar woth the parking lots around WF.. im going Saturday and got a parking pass but it doesn't say where the lot is located. Just that it a half mile away
  18. Steele is likely to miss at least 1 more start depending on severity of injury, if it's two, might as well let Hendricks pitch out his final season as a cub in Steele spot and shut Steele down for the year.
  19. That original Swift candle was done, looks like the Cubs winning ways may be too. Ugggh
  20. Gotta answer with at least 1 here with top of order up.
  21. Hot corners flashing the leather that inning
  22. PCA speed a big reason for the crooked number
  23. Lol.. Yes, my personal odds will be 50/50 if they remain 3 games out with 16 to play. Playing 13 games against the Rockies, As, Nats, and Reds (3 in Philly) Will be alot easier then the Braves playing the Dodgers, Mets, and Royals in 10 of last 16. ( Reds, Marlins) Gaining 1 game out of every 4 is very doable over the last 16
