  1. Booo, Mule had another game where he pitched great for a couple innings and then imploded
  2. They're a half step behind the holy trinity of the Rays/Guardians/Brewers, but the Cubs are clearly a "you get some benefit of the doubt" team when it comes to pitcbers.
  3. Because of potential seeding implications the Phillies winning is worse for us than the Reds and I'm not sure it's close
  4. Moises is back in the lineup and behind the plate Caissie has already donged tonight
  5. They weren't bad in May you're just bucketing May and June together to try and make your point stronger.
  6. You realize you're making the *exact* same arguments that I did earlier right? Sample size and quality of competition. Ring any bells?
  7. Literally no one has said that. There are two camps here: "Their full season numbers are good so I'm not worried" "They were bad in June so I'm worried"
  8. That's all June though. Here are their monthly splits vs lefties April - 144 May - 100 June - 78 July - 114 Also doesn't it tell you something about the molehill you're making a mountain out of when you cherry pick a date range and the bottom line is still just "slightly below average"?
  9. Setting aside that I think it's silly to get worked up over small samples, they scored 3 runs in 6 innings *with the wind blowing in* against Andrew Heaney. If these are the sorts of games reinforcing your position I don't know what to tell you.
  10. Here's a useful exercise: Go look at the individual pitchers that make up that June playing time, and tell me if anything besides the fact that they're left handed stands out to you
  11. Interesting. My topline reaction would be that Rojas shouldn't be for sale so he shouldn't be part of these games, though I understand how irrational that is. It's also interesting because some teams (looking at you, Padres) have tried to game trade value the opposite way by getting everyone into a super favorable age relative to their league, so that even if they struggle you can say "but he's only 20".
  12. I'm curious to see if this shifts. I think it'd be pretty easy to imagine this was a Breslow thing that gets phased out under new leadership.
  13. So Jim Bowden is a moron, let's get that out of the way up front. But I do believe he's capable of reading his own text messages without incident. He polled the industry on which prospects are most likely to get moved at the deadline. And...wow.
  14. Detroit Tigers (@tigers) • Instagram photo WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM 17K likes, 101 comments - tigers on July 4, 2025: "PLEASE LET ME GO FIRST I’M DOING SOMETHING".
  15. Yeah I pretty much only want him if he and Cabrera are coming together as a package deal.
  16. Jonny Long with another dong I've been pretty patient with Turner, but it's probably about time
  17. Now that we know Rojas isn't going to the Futures Game I don't really understand why he's still in South Bend
  18. Chris Kachmar is starting for Iowa instead of Maeda. I wonder if this is just reverb from the Wicks move, or if Maeda's heading up to MLB to potentially provide some length if things go south in tomorrow's bullpen game. Jostin Florentino is shoving again for Myrtle.
  19. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?stats=bat&lg=all&season=2025&season1=2025&ind=0&type=8&month=33&pos=1b&sortcol=17&sortdir=default&qual=200 Fangraphs' Live Leaderboard has Busch leading all 1B in wRC+ for the moment
  20. You know what's weird I don't hear a lot about Zyhir Hope these days
  21. Also should be noted Iowa's such a hitters paradise an 800 OPS is barely above average.
  22. Yes! Although I'm curious about the roster move. Horton is the most obvious, but at the same time sending him down after last night's performance feels a little mean.
  23. Funny you ask this because PCA is a serial offender of this https://blogs.fangraphs.com/pete-crow-armstrong-just-wants-a-hug/ tl;dr sounds like it's not a big deal. Ump might slap his wrist but it's not gonna like nullify a run or anything.
