  1. Honestly, Tiger Is this really doom-bonering or is it simply negatively commenting on what is, right now? Do any of those posts attempt to portend what to expect in the future? Any way, I don't want to soil this thread. Happ is having a killer start to the season. Does anyone know how he's looked defensively so far? Made errors in OKC, but I honestly don't remember where he played. Yeah I'm curious how much OF he is playing and how natural he looks out there
  2. Damn thing crashed on me but I had 17 with 20 to go.
  3. Here's your last 10 posts, excluding the two in response to David: search.php?author_id=15869&sr=posts - Zobrist's contact rate is down 10% - Contreras is a defensive replacement if he doesn't figure out his plate discipline - the offense looks terrible right now - Bryant got 5 pitches he should have destroyed - Happ is going to pass the whole Cubs team in HR - Contreras can't hit changeups - "Awesome" after Strop pitched poorly - "Let's get that BB/9 in order Pedro" - "Schwarber is going Gallo on us" (referring to K's) - commiserating about the strike zone and glad Jake got out of it 9 out of 10 posts complaining about individual players or the offense as a whole. Now do the same thing for David to see how often he actually complains about Baez: search.php?author_id=576&sr=posts Criticism or disagreeing as fine. Criticism of this Cubs team as the overwhelming majority of what you say is obnoxious. Honestly, Tiger Is this really doom-bonering or is it simply negatively commenting on what is, right now? 4. And seriously, do you realize you're getting on me for doing a smaller version of what you do constantly in regards to Javy? I hope so.
  5. Willson might find himself there if he doesn't snap out of his disciplinary funk at the plate and make contact on more than half of his swings do you post about anything else? we get it. almost everyone has bad peripherals but YOU'RE NOT WORRIED OR DOOM BONERING, you're just posting about it in every single thread. Am I? Or is this the only thread, besides, you know, game threads, where we talk about players and stuff, that I've mentioned it?
  6. Random note: Zobrist's contact rate is down 10 points. Russell and KB are ahead of him right now.
  7. it cheapens it to showcase def. replacements Willson might find himself there if he doesn't snap out of his disciplinary funk at the plate and make contact on more than half of his swings
  8. I'm pretty sure if any team strikes fear in anybody, it's the World Series champions, who won 103 games and return basically everyone.
  9. I know my rep around here isn't exactly sterling but man This offense looks terrible right now. It's OK to admit that. In fact, it's OK to criticize it. They are not prepared to hit baseballs hard. 2 anomalous (for this season) performances does not a strong offense make. That said, we'll be there in the end, with another division title. But it's OK to call a spade a spade. These guys are not hitting consistently enough to strike fear in anybody.
  10. Soon Ian will pass the whole Cubs team in HR Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  11. That one was hilarious. Glad Jake took care of business regardless.
  12. I simply like to look at peripherals even in the early stage of the season. I can't help it. Some really good things are happening (Bryant and Russell approaching 80% contact) but a lot more bad, to this point. Sure we're halfway to an acceptable sample size but I don't see anything wrong with looking for underlying causes to the offensive futility. If we've got batted ball results similar to 16 Heyward, then we're gonna struggle to score runs. I'm not saying we're gonna struggle all season, or even for a lengthy period. They'll click soon, I'm sure. But man they've been hitting like a bunch of Punch n Judy sissies so far.
  13. Not a shred of panic in me. I'm simply stating what's ailing us. But I'm sure you have a gif for this reply as well.
  14. Tons of soft contact (3rd most) and they are pull-happy (2nd most). Not a good combo for hitting baseballs. I think I can count on my hands the amount of hard hit balls Bryzzo have hit.
  15. Next time he paints that corner, Rizz, slap it down the LF line
