  1. He looks like he's trying not to over-throw, to me. And the command of his curve has been quite good. Yeah, I've got no issues with what I'm seeing. He's pitching well. He made one mistake at a bad time. But, he's pitching really well. His stuff is probably still filthy, even at 91-92. And maybe him taking a little off will allow him to regain his command, without losing much of his nastiness. Hell, Kyle Hendricks can do it throwing 82 mph. So I'm not super worried about it. But, he's a guy that been injured before, has unorthodox mechanics, has had trouble with his mechanics (last year), now is showing a drop in velo (even if it's due to trying to fix the mechanical issues), he's been bad in the past. It seems like too many red flags, long-term. He's not a Jon Lester that you just plug in and not worry about. There's always something that feels like it could unravel at any moment. So, you take his best seasons, which were some of the finest seasons in franchise history. And then you let someone else worry about all the rest when he is old and getting paid a trillion dollars. Totally agree. I would only be good with a 3 year deal, which he isn't gonna take. He has had a phenomenal short stint with us but at his age and stage of his career there's no way I'd go longer than that. And here he goes and strikes out the side getting some ugly swings. Overall a very solid start with just the bad walk and then the HR.

  3. I have to say that I do like that they play Real Mf Gz at Miller Park It's no Thuggish Ruggish Bone but it's solid enough
  4. Schwarber could have crushed that 3-1 and then he chases the next one. Damn.

  10. Lol that's a pretty easy fair ball and they can't do horsefeathers about it
  11. That should get the boys going. Waited a long time to see him do that. Beast.
  12. Hard not to be a little bummed by our hitters right now
