  1. Do you mind translating what you wrote about Palencia? Glitch
  2. Do you mind translating what you wrote about Palencia? He's not impressed by a pitcher too old for his level going 3 innings, thus, proving he's a reliever long-term but probably at least an ML arm because of the velocity and he turns his nose up at Cubs Twitter prospect-hounds because he knows better through his eras of shrewd evaluation something something shoehorn team-control reigning supreme for rich white people
  3. That Myrtle lineup is something else.
  4. On one hand, I see one system ranking have the Nationals at 27th, and Soto is one of the few great assets you have to improve the long term outlook of the team which is currently really bad. On the other hand JUAN SOTO IS 23 AND A TOP 5 PLAYER IN BASEBALL. Why in the hell would you even consider trading him? Even if you don't think he'll sign an extension, you play it out as long as you can and hope you can build a team that convinces him to stay long term. I don't know what things are like behind the scenes between the Nationals and Soto, but players of his caliber don't fall from trees. Them trading Turner was pretty stupid also. I get that he's not a model of durability but not many players have that skill-set and ceiling.
  5. Old Man Chavez gave up a walk off shot to Hiura. I know that we aren't in their league anymore but I just hate the horsefeathering Brewers about as much as most of you hate the Cardinals. Plucky [expletive].
  6. Morel also told Willy he was gonna hit a bomb in his first AB just like he had 6 years before. So dope.
  7. Anyone know if a Cub has turned on a pitch that high yet this season for a HR?
  8. Not funny that Quiroz has hit like Andrelton Simmons at Iowa
  9. Tarik suffered a seemingly major injury while training on IG Live
  10. Most definitely. Noticed it last night on the final play and it certainly looks that was tonight.
  11. Albert Pujols is out there slinging 50 mph curveballs in a blowout win. Almost got a GDP and then served up a 3 run bomb and a solo back to back. Cardinals absolutely murdered Rodon tonight. Oh and btw Pujols has a 135 wRC+ right now because of course he does.
  12. Blue Jays single-A team recorded 24 Ks in a 9 inning game
  13. That was a weak ass throw from Simmons
  14. Had him struck out but the ump is a POS
  15. Please put Heyward out of our misery
  16. Reds are charging hard
  17. Had no idea Machado was running a 15 fwar pace
  18. Effross getting love from The Pitching Ninja
  19. Really hope the Angels/Trout/Ohtani/Maddon get a shot in the playoffs. That's one of the most implausible no-hitters that I can recall. Not Edwin Jackson stuff but just an 88 game score.
  20. Absolutely gut-wrenching. That Editors Note at the bottom... after reading that piece... Just devastating. And to think that he was injured on what should have been a totally harmless play, a fair catch, during pretty much a blowout loss, as a defender was pushed into him by his own teammate.
  21. Amazingly it's like 70% a new cast of characters and still the same issues are oh-so prevalent. Can't hit velocity, WAY too low meatball swing%, awful with 2 strikes (and 3 balls for that matter; always seems like we just expect another pitch out of the zone and have 0 intent to swing), can't cover the top of the zone, can't do damage on sliders, slow AF to make adjustments in-season and almost incapable of doing so in-game, etc It's astonishing how often we have a singular scoring inning in games. I mean we are impressive in our ineptitude. Im gonna feel sad for Seiya after we sell off all his teammates. He's in for a rude awakening for sure.
  22. Stay the horsefeathers away from the White Sox
  23. Nelly had a single and 2 more walks, also stole his 5th base, then was pulled for a PH in the 7th. Hope he didn't get hurt and it was just sparing him as the Smokies were already smoked. He has a fantastic walk rate if you just lop off the first 10 games... Riley Thompson gave up 2 doubles, a triple, a walk and an IBB and the 3 inherited runners he left on in the 1st all scored, giving him 7 ER for the night.
  24. Made 2-3 HR PCA 2-3 CS Another strong start from Gallardo. Gave up a solo shot in the 1st and that's the only run in 5 IP 4:2 72-52 Strikes. Good stuff.
