  1. I haven't paid attention this year so I didn't know that KCs OL had been largely decimated. It looked a lot like a game in which Charles Leno and Bobbie Massie were tasked with protecting the edges.
  2. The Bears don't have the line and offensive weapons to compete for a SB even with Brady. Maybe in 2018 with that defense but not the defense that played in 2020. With a QB who basically knows every defensive play call and gets the ball out in a flash, maybe the Bears OL wouldn't be so shitty. He does a lot of the work for them. His OL is almost never unaware of a pass rusher or where the general pressure is gonna come from. And with a QB that rarely turns the ball over, constantly moves the chains, and gets the ball in the endzone frequently, then the defense gets a lot more rest as well. The defense plays with a lead more often, the DC can be a little more aggressive and not have to play the bend but don't break style as much, which tends to lead to prolonged drives and exhaustion as the game is winding down.
  3. Devin White was a horsefeathering monster tonight
  4. Wauconda is not a fictional place dammit
  5. How many teams do you think Brady could get into the SB if he were a FA again?
  6. Beavis and Butthead and Wayne's World eh?
  7. https://saintswire.usatoday.com/2021/02/06/covid-19-nfl-contact-tracing-saints-alvin-kamara-news/ Saints should face major consequences for this IMO. He shouldn't have been allowed around players, and obviously not allowed to play.
  8. Yep, I'd much rather do the Cohen, 20, Foles trade than trade next year's first. Given the Bears schedule, if Wentz is as bad as he was this year, they'd be picking top 10 rather easily. If things go South, the Bears are in an even bigger mess than they are now. This would 100% be a "Pace knows he's gonna be fired next year, throw the kitchen sink at the 2021 Bears" trade and that's extremely dangerous. Why not get Watson if that's the case? Probably because Houston wants to do all they can to keep him and has rebuffed all proposals
  9. Nice to see Williams continue his roll. Not nice to see Coby plummet so harshly. I thought he had a chance to have a positive impact this season.
  10. Only people who ignore the advanced stats put Mitch as equal to or better than Wentz. Wentz had an entirely putrid 2020. With his track record I think its only fair to view that as an aberration with a major deal of skepticism that he should shoulder the blame for it. Wentz is being made out to be this totally awful QB because 1 season out of 5 and I just don't think it's true. I also am starting to doubt the veracity of these trade claims in the first place.
  11. horsefeathers I did not want him in L.A.
  12. I'm all for this. He had a lot of great football with Defillipo (sp?). We'd have been falling over ourselves to add him a couple years ago. I think he could have handled the situation in Philly in a more professional manner. However I would not be surprised if he has a major bounce back with the change in scenery.
  13. Why was Wentz suddenly so bad? IIRC this is a guy traditional and analytics liked a lot in 17 and 18.
  14. These jorts are made for Chafin
  15. So Zach finished January joining Curry as the only players ever to average 25/5/5 on 50/45/85 shooting in a calendar month, and started the following month off shooting 50% with just 1 TO and scoring 10 of his 21 in the 4th including the dagger 3 with 20 seconds left as a defensive guru did all he could to snuff out an explosive night from LaVine. Personally I wouldn't trade him. And never in a million years would I trade him to the Knicks of all teams, who are eyeing him heavily.
  16. I don't have the answer to either question but they'd have the most important building block in place. So that alone pushes me into the "dooooooo iiiiiit" camp. You're just never gonna win a ring without one and you're probably not getting one at 20 this year. Although Pace will be 100% willing to trade whatever it takes to get his guy as well being in his last year. Honestly I imagine both teams could put a comparable player pkg together. Tom could probably weigh in on that. That shoulder of Johnson is damn scary to me, as an aside. He flashed star upside no doubt but how often will he actually be available? Personally I don't think we're getting Watson. With Stafford off the board and Watson not a realistic option what does that mean for Bears? Pace is going to do something, I've a feeling it's destined to be something horsefeathering awful. Pace as a lame duck is a terrifying thought
  17. Starting with 20 i have to believe we would have to go beyond that presumed proposal So 3 firsts + mid rounders + Smith and Nichols/Johnson? I still do it. Just pointing out that that is probably a deal they take from the Jets, but not the Bears. How do the young D assets of the Jets or Dolphins line up to Smith and Johnson? I don't know, it's kind of tough. Based on the sneak peak we got of the D without Smith and Johnson, I'm not sure the team would be that much better, even with an improved offense. Marginally so perhaps, but they Bears would run low on options to build the D. Are they a division round team instead of a wildcard team, maybe? I don't have the answer to either question but they'd have the most important building block in place. So that alone pushes me into the "dooooooo iiiiiit" camp. 18. Do it Bears. Although I think Watson ends up in San Fran. Just pointing out that that is probably a deal they take from the Jets, but not the Bears.
  19. I did not watch the game but I've seen several people say that that female ref made a handful of bad calls last night
  20. Motherfucking Dame man
  21. He's probably slightly better than Schwarber and he's getting significantly less money. It's a perfectly cromulent move all on its own. Yeah this was my point. Sure he's getting significantly less than Schwarbers Nats contract but the arbitration estimates for Kyle were right around this amount. And he might also suck in LF. His foot speed is dropping every year, he's always had bad grades on his reads and jumps. He should also be entirely unplayable vs LHP.
  22. He gets 1/7 Jed sucks
  23. I've heard Abbott added a 1-seam
  24. What a garbage spot Edit: actually a good spot
