  1. He should probably be doing that 4 times a game.
  2. PCA should be doing that once a game at this point.
  3. When was the last time they hit double figures?
  4. That's why the sentence is finished with "long term prospect of team success". Also there are POTENTIALLY in house replacements for some of these players in the shorter term.
  5. You act like receiving valuable players back in a trade (that also frees up money) doesn't help the long term prospect of team success.
  6. Who is saying they're the problem?? You'd trade them because there is some value there but neither is likely valuable enough to be the solution. Nobody is talking about trading Amaya because you're not going to get anything for him. You don't hear much about Dansby because he is likely untradeable. OF is also a potential position of depth so an OF makes sense. These guys are coming up because something useful would likely come back. You're not getting anything for Madrigal or Bote so why talk about it.
  7. The players coming back don't have to give you back that production in the next 2 years (and if they were why would the other teams trade them??) - there are potential in house replacements that MAY do that. The issue is that what they have now isn't working - it is certainly open for discussion on who it makes sense to trade but we certainly seem to be at the point where something needs to change.
  8. I posted in the offseason about the prospect of trading Hoerner. It's not that I don't think he's a good player but I don't think he's going to age particularly well and I don't think he gets extended with a big contract so I think there could be some margin in selling high. To be clear I'm not advocating dumping him for for a rosin bag - I think he is a valuable trade commodity that the Cubs could get a good return on.
  9. Except for maybe the bridge on the side of the head I kinda' like the Giants uniforms.
  10. You think it isn't going to be one today?
  11. Wouldn't the runner at 3rd need to go back to 3rd once the ball was caught?
  12. I was sure that was going to be more Wilson than Javi.
  13. Sometimes the "deer in headlights" approach works out. Stopped clock etc. etc.
  14. We'll Lodolo is at 90ish pitches - 1 more inning at most?
  15. I have both Seiya and Greene on my Fantasy team. 😵
  16. Both his hits today were the other way - if he keeps doing that he will. He doesn't need to pull everything. He hit an absolute BOMB the other way last year in Philadelphia. Hopefully he keeps looking that way.
  17. I will point out again that I benched Happ on my Fantasy team this week.. You're all welcome.
  18. I took Happ off my fantasy roster this week and added Megill.
  19. Have you mixed up the daily and weekly meds again?? There is always a comparison and I wasn't the first one to make it. But sure Dansby is a closer comparison to Betts than he is to Baez. He's definitely trending in right direction and they've already started working on his plaque in Cooperstown. LOL Going back into last season Dansby has been horsefeathers for awhile and if your point is that Dansby is runny, yellow and sour to Baez's lumpy, green and pungent - who cares they both flush the same.
  20. No what? The article is talking about aging of the contract - could care less about what happened last year - especially when there are 6 more to go.
