  1. you mean since noah got hurt
  2. you know exactly what i'm talking about. the people who are incapable of criticizing him when he's clearly in the wrong. The issue are the [expletive] lunatics who want the guy to suffer eternal damnation because he spent one miserable year with the team. i agree
  3. you know exactly what i'm talking about. the people who are incapable of criticizing him when he's clearly in the wrong. it's kind of like the ryan theriot thing. there was/is this line between the people who like him too much, and people who are down on him too much. pretty much anything involving theriot would spark a huge argument where the 2 sides were incapable of meeting. if it was something negative , there would be theriot lovers jumping in immediately and defending him.. even if the criticism was true. then if he did something well, there would be the other side disparaging it immediately. it's the same thing with bradley. there are bradley haters who are determined to make him the bad guy no matter what the situation, while looking away when anybody brings up anything that suggests otherwise. i think the other side is more annoying though. i'm talking about the people who are determined to defend bradley no matter what (these people know who they are). if someone says something that's both negative and innaccurate (which is the case most often) about bradley, these people will jump all over them. but if bradley does something that is actually his fault and warrants critisicm? then they deflect and make a sarcastic joke about how horrible a person he is or something like that. i've been defending bradley pretty hard lately, but to blame his "struggles" on chicago is pretty pathetic.... especially considering it's now ST of the next season.
  4. i've been defending bradley lately, but i cant believe certain people in this thread are still acting like he's innocent and that these latest comments weren't a big deal. i was rooting for bradley tohave a huge year in seattle just to shut the media (and cubs fans) up, but not anymore. bradley has always said stupid things, but until now, i didn't think he was a little bitch who would resort to blaming his struggles on a city instead of him.
  5. couple other things - kopecky has been great these past 2 games. so far he's really backing up his words - wtf is the deal with versteeg? zero goals and 2 assists in his last 16 games. how does that even happen?
  6. yay we're good again
  7. tonight it definitely is
  8. well, they should have had more goals last night and should have at least 4 tonight. for some reason goalies continue to stand on their heads when playing us
  9. hossa is absolutely insane right now
  10. the refs missed that terribly, but i'm more pissed at huet. through the legs again. he hasn't had to do anything this game at all and he's still found a way to give up 2 horribly soft goals and put the team behind.
  11. hahahahahahahahhahahahah
  12. unbelievable that this game is tied right now. it feels like that was the first time they had gotten the puck in our zone in like a half hour.
  13. i fuckin hate baseball fans
  14. id do it too
  15. i hope you're right do you think q should go back to huet over niemi now?
  16. There's a lot of mediocrity right there. The myth that you have to have a great goalie to win the Stanley Cup comes from the fact that a mediocre goalie who wins the Cup is automatically considered great for having won it. Those four guys I cut out above all have career save percentages lower than Huet's .915. Fleury does too, actually. save percentage of those players the year they won the cup (we're talking aobut how good they were when they won the cup, not how good their careers were): Fleury- .912 Osgood0 .914 Giguere- .918 Ward- .882 Khabibulin- .910 Brodeur- .914 Hasek- .915 Roy- .913 Brodeur- .910 Belfour- .915 huet this year- .902 the only guy under .910 was ward, and he was 21 and a rookie at the time so the .882 wasn't really a true indicator of how good he was (although i dont think he's very good anyways)
  17. you know what i mean when i say wasted season. if we have a roster this great, but we end up falling short because of the lack of a goalie, how is that not a wasted season? also, with the cap issues... this year is the best rosxter we're going to have. obviously we're stuill going to be good, but this is the year with the best chance. and i don't agree that making it to the western conference finals this year is any kind of accomplishment. we did that last year and we're a much better team this year. a championship is the goal right now, nothing else. if we end up as the 1 or 2 seed and flame out in the playoffs and it's due to bad goaltending, you really wouldn't call it a wasted season?
  18. i'm only half serious with the "wasted season" stuff, but there's a very good chance it's true. last 10 stanley cup goalies Fleury Osgood Giguere Ward Khabibulin Brodeur Hasek Roy Brodeur Belfour pretty much all of those guys are in another league than huet, with the exception of maybe osgood (although osgood was pretty good that year). goaltending is far and away the most important position in the playoffs. now, of course it's possible for any goalie to win the stanley cup. but kyle specifically is making it seem like huet could take the hawks to the cup and it wouldn't really be a huge surprise. if that's true, then there would be more scrub goalies like huet with their names on the stanley cup. that list is pretty telling. to me, this "well huet can get hot blah blah" stuff is not far off from "well the cards won 83 games and won the world series so..." stuff. is it possible? of course. but relying on that is pretty weak, because it's highly unlikely. so yeah, i think there's pretty good reason to feel like our lack of a goalie might make this end up being a wasted season.
  19. Some of the folks over on RealGM are pretty convinced of it. A good friend of mine knows his sister real well. He likes the ganja like a fat kid likes cake. So? So he may be [expletive] high and not drunk. Is it that hard to figure out why I posted that? no, we got it.
  20. wasted season
  21. i just saw jimmy johnson in a commercial for extenze wtf
  22. yeah, it really is hard to get excited about our chances of winning a cup with the goalies we have. it would be such a shame too. such an amazing team ruined due to the lack of one position. i really have a feeling that someone will be brought in tomorrow though. just not sure if it will be somebody good.
  23. in the first. and i never said they never did it. just seemed like they didn't come back very often, but apparently it's not as bad as i thought. i wonder why we aren't hearing more about tim thomas. rask has completely taken over as the bruins number 1 goalie (he's started 7 straight games for boston), and it was already known that he was the future number 1 for boston even before that. i see no reason why thomas wouldn't be on the market.
  24. guess not. i just cant remember off hand any games where we rallied from 2 or more down late.
