Mike, as much as I have no love for Cleveland, I have less love for New York. It's bad enough that "The Raptist" headlines LA, we don't need LBJ headlining NY. I rather LBJ stay in Cleveland and the Bulls have to face him 4 times a year, instead of him going to NY. you need to recognize the difference between "i hate new york" and "everyone in the world hates new york"

No, no, no we are not having this ridiculous conversation again. With the amount of money Lebron is making, he can have house is every friggin' state if he wants to. So living in NY (no matter how great NY is :roll: ) does not equate to LBJ leaving Cleveland for NY, at least professional. LBJ will stay in Cleveland and nothing will change with his marketing. just not sure why you keep trying to keep passing your (realitvely uninformed) opinion off as a fast. you have no idea where lebron is going. none of us do. and yes, lebron will be bigger in NY.

you have absolutely no idea if that's true or not it's true. redflash doesn't see the appeal of new york, so there's no way lebron goes there. seriously, though, don't the 07-08 celtics kind of provide a model for free agents thinking about new york? that team went from pretty damn bad to a championship winner with the addition of two superstars. they had what was thought to be a thin supporting cast going into the season. granted, they had pierce in place before they traded for allen and garnett, but they pretty much showed how quickly a couple stars can turn a bad team around. i don't doubt that lebron believes that he and a fellow superstar can perform a similar feat and go to new york and turn their franchise around. not to mention lebron has already shown that he by himself can take a bunch of nobodies and turn them into an elite team

The Bulls are still a better spot then NY, imo. the knicks can now afford 2 max free agents, the bulls can only afford 1 We already have a "max fa" in Rose so we don't need 2. In fact, Rose, Noah and Deng are better than any incumbent players on the Knicks roster (assuming David Lee is gone). So even if the Knicks lets say get Bosh and then try to sign Wade, we can counter by having Rose Noah and Deng. I'm not saying the latter two are all stars, but they both look to be very good rotation pieces on a contending team. i wasnt talking about who has the best situation team-wise. i was just saying that now that NY can afford 2 max free agents, that's even more competetion for a superstar this offseason.

I think so as well but, could that be another max FA? Wade and Bosh for example? Wade isn't going anywhere. Neither is LeBron. The Bulls best bet is Bosh and Joe Johnson, and that has a slim chance of happening. I doubt any team is getting two max contract players. The problem for the Bulls is that there are too many teams that can give max contracts and not enough great players. Joe Johnson does not have the skills to be a max contract player, but all you need to really be one is a team that is willing to offer him that. NY is going to offer him that after they fail to get LeBron. Why are some people suddenly so sure that neither Wade or LeBron are going anywhere? you're talking to a guy who also thought there was a good chance the bulls planned on getting tmac so they could extend him

only if the player we're going after is a complete [expletive] who knows nothing about basketball and only looked at the bulls win-loss record you again ignore the main point though. if a player cares enough about the current state of the team to make a decision based partly on that, then why wouldn't that player do the extra 5 minutes of research and realize why they slumped down the stretch? seriously, it's as if you're under the impression that these players will look at win-loss record and nothing else. if what you say is true and the bulls slump to a much worse record due to losing hinrich/salmons/tt (which in itself is highly debatable), then the free agents will see that and understand why they slumped down the stretch. they are humans capable of thought.
