    ugg..I crinched when I read that. Yes, Williams showed some promise this year. Yes, the WOLB position in a cover-2 D, is a position were players generally have success. But I certainly hope that heavin forbid Briggs leaves, a better replacement option is aquired. While I think Manning and Hester were great picks, it still might have been better if the Bears stayed in the late first round and selected DeMeco Ryans. my 2 cents. not taking anything away from briggs because i would hate to see him leave, i really wonder how good he'd be w/o a guy like urlacher drawing so much attention.

    i too would like cedric to get a chance, but until he steps up his pass blocking, he's never going to play against teams that blitz like the vikes do.

    i would, in this case, remind everyone of the andy MacPhail rule: multiply the number of games behind you are by the number of teams ahead of you to get a true value of "games behind".

    Maybe, but they didn't even let Baker hire his own PC, and they bent over backwards in every way to get Dusty on board. Was Rothschild on board before Baker?? I didn't remember that... i think he was under contract at the time dusty was hired.

    maybe i'm totally off, but wasn't it razor shines that made that famous catch back in the 90s when he literally ran through the outfield wall?

    wow .. what an awful cup for the u.s. arena is just terrible .. how can you wait until the 60ith minute to realize that we need players in there who can score? this better be his last year as coach. judging by the way beasley and donovan played, it makes me wonder if he has the same effect on younger players as dusty. the lone bright spot of the wc, at least offensively, was beasley's steal and assist to dempsey, which, as i saw it, was a purely instinctive "soccer" move .. something he reacted to rather than thought about. i dunno .. now i'm just rambling. oh, and these games in the world cup are averaging 5 yellow cards a game?! what, is c.b. bucknor reffing soccer now too? i was unbelievably pissed at that pk opportunity, but it turns out it didn't matter at all. we still couldn't score. i guess we won't finish 32nd this year, but i bet (with our goal differential) we'll be very close....

    don't remember the exact number, but his hs coach let him pitch both games of a double header because it was the state championship. the reports were that ed lynch destroyed his office after hearing that one.
