  1. I agree with that. Kobe would be a huge get and make the Bulls the Eastern Conference favorites. Garnett would be a huge get and make the Bulls a NBA Champion contender. (I am assuming similar deals would be traded for each) Nah...gimme Kobe. Best player in NBA and more good years left (Big men get older quicker).
  2. You, like Jim Hendry, greatly overrate Izturis's defense. He would look great on this team but in defense of trading him it did take the kid awhile to figure it out... something he might not have done in Chicago. And also in defense we did get Nomar at the time (correct?).
  3. I would have to say Right Foot as well. However, it isn't that big of a deal I don't think. But technically it is quicker and less likely to trip over the base using the right.
  4. Agreed. If Brewer some how falls to them Pax had better be on the phone ready to trade Gordon or Deng for a big man or a Kobe. Would LOVE Brewer.
  5. Nice avatar but I'm surprised you haven't used something like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1d/Robcubs.jpg Who is that? Am I dumb for not knowing? The greatest kicker in the NFL...Robbie Gould Oh wow...I definitely know what Robbie Gould looks like and could not tell that was him.
  6. lol....i seriously hoping that was an attempt of trying to be funny and sarcastic. Umm, no....win probabilities are dumb.

  8. I think win probabilities are really stupid. I don't have a good reason for thinking that other than the fact that baseball is a game and it's never over till the last out. Why even mention the 'odds' of winning? So when a team doesn't you can say "Oh my God, they had a 65% chance of winning and blew it!" Dumb.
  9. dammit. I'm actually extremely happy with this. What does he really give other than a tad bit of insurance? he was going to get waived anyway That's what I think as well. AP is WAY too valuable on special teams and you don't cut 3rd round draft choices.
  10. Other than Verlander (the only game they've lost between those teams) they faced the back end of those rotations. They also lost 2 of 3 to the Rangers (needing extra innings to avoid a sweep). And? Wins are wins. His point, I believe, was that because those wins came against the worst pitchers on said good teams, they don't mean as much as far as proving how good the Brewers actually are. I'd be inclined to agree. They certainly don't guarantee that we'll see the beginning of the season Brewers for the rest of the year. I think it proves a lot. You have to beat who you face and they did. Doesn't seem like other teams in the AL are having a real easy time against the Tigers one way or another. Just containing that offense is an accomplishment. You have to beat who you face, but what starters go during the series make a big difference as far as determining "who you face". The othe teams in the AL have to face both the Tigers and Twins better pitchers as well. As far as offense goes, containing the Tigers is impressive, containing the Twins, not so much. They are definitely the team to beat in the division by virtue of their current record alone, but I would go about crowning them just yet. They've had their struggles, and I'm sure they will continue to in the future. My point was just that I think it's fairly safe to say now that they will be there until the end.

  12. Well, lets see. Do I want to go to a winning team, or the Titans? Seems pretty easy to me :D Actually, the Titans should be pretty solid this year. I believe they were what, 8-8 last year? Pretty solid is a big difference from Super Bowl contender though. They may not be a Super Bowl contender, but they could be a winning team. Things change so quickly in the NFL.

  14. Gonzalez and C. Young for Otsuka and Eaton I believe. Edit: So yes, quite the steal.

  16. He did give a big wink when he said it. Who doesn't want McNabb on the Bears?

  18. He supposedly takes (or has taken) grounders at first base during BP and wants to play at least one inning in the outfield in his career. He really is that crazy. I don't know if it's that crazy. Get a big lead, throw him out there for the hell of it. It's not like outfield is very hard.
  19. Konerko has to be the slowest man in baseball, if not the world.
  20. You probably have just as good a chance of finding this on youtube as anyone else on this board.
  21. I think the Brewers have once and for all proved that they are for real with their play against the Tigers and Twins.
  22. Super news. Those brains are finally a workin'. =D> Edit: Mark DeRosa is actually becoming one of my favorite Cubs. I love his play and his demeanor. And I have a feeling he's a great guy too.
