  1. That captioner had to be a Cubs fan. Some of those were hilarious.
  2. Since they scored 15 runs today against the White Sox, will the Cubs score more or less than 15 runs in the next seven games. The Astros starters will be Clemens, Pettitte, and Oswalt. The Brewers have Capuano, Zach Jackson, Dave Bush, and Doug Davis going. Make your pick: more, less, or exactly 15?
  3. There would be so many plays up for consideration that it would take weeks to narrow down.
  4. I'm assuming that is the diving play from the other day?
  5. A few thoughts: -Barrett definately should be in there. -According to that list Oakland, Texas, and Kansas City are the only AL teams without a rep which means Ozzie will have 6 spots left to fill with his guys. -It's interesting that both first basemen for the AL - Jim Thome and David Ortiz - rarely play in the field.
  6. Can somebody take a bat to his back so he has to go back on the DL? Please? I'm sure we could get a pot started for whoever does this.
  7. Definately Dempster.
  8. The way Dempster has been going, I wouldn't say this is a good thing.
  9. Even with the Cubs winning I can barely handle listening to Hawk and DJ. It's virtually unbearable.
  10. Pagan is in left field and Pierre is in center.
  11. Hawk is the reason I quit watching them when they were on. The rule is, if the Sox are winning, turn them off. If they are losing, its pure gold. Break out the tivo, VCR, microphone, whatever. Agreed. They are completely miserable when the Sox are losing.
  12. you really think he can't leave that job if he's offered a GM position elsewhere? i highly doubt there's not a clause in his contract that allows him to opt out if he's offered a GM position. Agreed. And I would love to have DePodesta as the Cubs GM.
  13. Don't worry, that offense is about to go into hibernation. I'm putting the over/under at runs scored over the next week at 20. They play 7 games and will likely be facing Clemens, Pettitte, and Oswalt for the Astros, and Capuano, Zach Jackson (a lefty), Dave Bush, and Doug Davis for the Brewers.
  14. And once again, the White Sox announcers show their class...or lack thereof.
  15. Good thing we have Angel Beltran back. Nice throw Crede.
  16. When that ball crossed the plate, it was a strike. Ump got the call right. Sit down Dye.
  17. With the 2006 Cubs, a win is never secured.
  18. Was that off Ronny's head or arm? His head.
  19. Wow. A "Let's go White Sox" chant gets started up in Wrigley. Wow.
