  1. Agreed. A foul, yes. A yellow card, no.
  2. Glass half full. Filled with what I'm not sure....vodka, whiskey or rum? I believe that soccer10k said he was donating a couple of kegs of the house brew :) I did? I don't remember saying this, but it sounds like an excellent idea. :D
  3. Really do you think you should be on here typing this? Oh he has EVERY right. The man speaks the truth.
  4. You had it called for Dye but I guess it has the same effect. I know I called Dye, but I was sitting here watching the game and I realized Pierzynski was coming up and knew he was going to come through. It was too perfect.
  5. I much enjoyed the commentator (here) saying "But ref, I was just protecting my good looks" Haha. Why did it take so long for them to blow the whistle on the two obvious offsides a few minutes ago? And has anyone seen Brazil? Memo to Brazil, you aren't playing Japan anymore.
  6. I KNEW IT. I knew Pierzynski would hit a HR.
  7. So they aren't letting the Cubs hit after the homer? Oops. Won't be a walk off then.
  8. Jermaine Dye with a walk off 2 run homer. I'm calling it.
  9. On another note for you Brits, during the match they showed a pre-game interview with Gerrard and he said something to the effect of "[England] has to try really hard because they don't have much of a chance in 2010 because it will be too hot in South Africa." I'm not sure if anyone else saw this during the match but it was a very interesting statement.
  10. The US made it to the round of 16 in 1994 and lost to Brazil. EDIT: Nevermind. After rereading it I'm assuming you meant that the US didn't win a game in the elimination stage.
  11. Because we have the dumbest manager in the history of baseball. Did Maddux try to bunt or was he swinging away? I would understand this if it was Z/Prior/Wood, but not Maddux.
  12. So ARam only needs a single for the cycle? I don't know what is more surprising: the triple or the three extra base hits in the game so far.
  13. 6 minutes between posts. Is the game that boring?
  14. Since my original prediction (Brazil-Argentina) isn't going to work out, I'm going with Brazil-Italy. Italy hasn't allowed an opponent to score a goal (though they did score on themselves) in the tournament. Either way, the Germany-Italy game is going to be very entertaining as will the Brazil-France and whoever Portugal plays in the semis.
  15. It was just like the Germany-Argentina game. Ricardo guessed correctly on each kick just like Lehman did yesterday. Like others said, England didn't look like they wanted to win the shootout.
  16. I knew I shouldn't have predicted a penalty kick shootout victory for England. I had the correct shootout score but with England winning. Also, somebody must have smacked Dave O'Brien and told him it was Cristiano Ronaldo and not Cristian Ronaldo.
  17. That's what I saw as well on the replay. Didn't see it at first but the referee was right behind Rooney so he obviously saw it. That was the inevitable Wayne Rooney blowup.
  18. I don't know who the other announcer is (it's not Marcelo Balboa) but he continues to say "Cristian Ronaldo" and it is getting quite annoying. Did he even do his homework?
  19. Cavs offer LeBron 5 year $80 million extension. Link
  20. "A World War II rematch on the pitch! England vs. Germany, this Sunday!" Fixed
