  1. Depending on who comes out with him. I'd say top 5 easily. Definitely. Besides AD, there isn't another running back in NCAA right now I'd rate higher than McFadden. After the first few weeks I would have said Garrett Wolfe, but he had a four games stretch against below average opponents in which he stunk it up. Maybe Steve Slaton but McFadden is very good.
  2. No, it's people like you and most of the media that call games like USC-Texas and OSU-Michigan games that featured great offenses but call a Louisville-WVU game a matchup that featured bad defenses. It's a horrible double standard that isn't fair to the Big East. They can play with the power teams. They are programs on the rise. Louisville is in a new, better conference. Wisconsin has been in the Big 10 for years. They aren't trying to improve their prestige while Louisville is so comparing the two programs isn't fair to Louisville. West Virginia was ranked #5 in the preseason and, arguably, was a Steve Slaton injury away from taking down Louisville on the road and still being undefeated. It's absurd that Wisconsin is in the top 10. What have they done to deserve it? The only thing I can think of is because they play in the Big 11. Yes, the rankings are based on where you are ranked in the beginning of the year as well as the prestige of your team. Look at Arkansas. Where do you think they would be ranked right now had they started in the top 5 or even the top 10 this year? They would likely be a spot or two higher and would still have a good shot to make the title game if they won out. But because they started out the year unranked and don't have the history that USC, Michigan, and Florida have, they don't get as much respect as they should. You are clearly a Big 11 homer. That much is obvious. As for Cuse, I think he knows he's a bit biased and he might have admitted it on here at some point. But I wasn't talking about him now was I? Once again, I have no bias though and no affiliation to any team, something I can't say about you.
  3. 5 years 50 million for a 32 year old guy who just had a career year in Texas is a WAY worse deal.
  4. As well they should.
  5. If the Big East teams get beat in the bowl games I will not be making excuses and I would expect you to do the same if the Big East wins. Your complete and total hatred of the Big East is clearly clouding your judgement of the conference and because of this your opinion is EXTREMELY biased. My point of view comes from actually watching the games on the field. I'm not from the east coast and have no ties to any schools out there. I also don't have any ties to any west coast schools seeing as UC Davis is DI-AA. The only team I dislike is Notre Dame but I have the ability to analyze their situation with an unbiased perspective. I think that Louisville and West Virginia are good teams based on what I have seen on the field. I am not the only person who holds this belief. Like I said, if the Big East loses their bowl games, I won't make excuses unless they are justified (i.e. referee screwjob a la Oklahoma-Oregon). I would expect you to admit you are wrong if the Big East wins their games but I know you won't so that effort is futile. The same goes for Wisconsin. After this, I'm done debating you on this topic because of your extreme bias. Get an unbiased point of view and then we'll talk.
  6. Texas goes down.
  7. Texas will get the ball back with around 35 seconds left (depending on a runback on the punt) with no timeouts.
  8. Poor IMB....that one non loss is going to kill him even more now. They still have to beat Oklahoma State to win the Big 12 South but, assuming Texas loses, I don't think it hurt them that much. Oklahoma with one loss is still behind both Michigan and USC and would likely be behind Florida and potentially Notre Dame as well. I don't think a one loss Oklahoma team would have a chance to make the Title game because the Big 12 is so weak.
  9. McCoy throws a pick with just under 1:30 left. The clock ran down to around 55 seconds left due to the change of possession rule. Texas has 3 timeouts left though.
  10. Texas A&M up 12-7 on Texas with 2:32 left in the game. This would be huge for Oklahoma. The game's on ABC.
  11. Great blitz call.
  12. I need them to lose so the Big East still has a chance but I just can't root against them! Yeah, it should be interesting. I've seen a couple bowl projections that have Arkansas getting the automatic SEC bid and the Big East getting both Louisville and WVU in BCS games. ETA: If you want 2 Big East teams you should also be hoping for Nevada to take down Boise State.
  13. They shot 6-7 3 pointers and 63% at halftime. Hopefully that will balance out some. Only down 7 now. Missouri State held on for the victory.
  14. Preparing for an Arkansas victory.
  15. Don't you think it helps that Wisconsin had more and better bowl tie-ins by playing in the Big 11 that Louisville didn't by playing in C-USA? better bowls better competition in those bowls more wins. nice try, but when Louisville is losing to Colorado State and Boise State and Miami of Ohio and Marshal while Wisconsin is beating UCLA, the last good Colorado team, and Auburn, I think it's pretty damn obvious which is the better program. All of that doesn't have any affect on which team is better this year. And it's still not fair to compare a team that is clearly on the rise - and one that has not only just joined a major conference but is a WVU win over Rutgers away from winning the conference title - against a team that has been in a major conference for years. You obviously don't get it. Being in a major conference not only gets you better matchups (just within your conference) but more television time and better bowl tie ins. All three of those factors help to get you better recruits because you have more to sell to them. The fact that Louisville just joined a major conference and is already a National Title contender is remarkable in of itself.
  16. even if it was somehow Wisconsin's fault for not playing OSU, doesn't the blame for the week schedule go at least in part to Iowa and Penn State? it's not the Badgers fault that the pre-season 16 and 19 ranked team in the country fell on their faces this year. It's not their fault for not playing OSU and the Big 10 being crap this year. But it is their fault for scheduling Bowling Green, Western Illinois, San Diego State, Buffalo with only Bowling Green haing any chance of being even semi-good. No teams from a major conference in the OOC schedule. That is their fault.
  17. Of the players that have signed already, my first instinct says GMJ or Pierre. Potential pitching busts, as has been stated, depends on where the FA pitchers sign.
  18. Don't you think it helps that Wisconsin had more and better bowl tie-ins by playing in the Big 11 that Louisville didn't by playing in C-USA?
  19. ZERO EMPATHY FOR IMB!! being a Sooner fan was a bad decision and their players and coaches made bad decisions during that game. That still doesn't change the fact that the refs screwed up and Oklahoma should have been awarded possession on the onsides kick.
  20. Is there any way we can check if he's still alive?
  21. This statement just had to be quoted again.
  22. Detriot's not looking too good.
  23. The problem is you are talking about one year. I know I'm only talking about one year, that's why I looked for consistency within the year. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect future performance at least as good as his worst month in that one year. I'll take consistency over a career instead of over a year. He may have been consistent this year but his career stats, and the fact that he's 32, tell a better story.
  24. I have to ask, was this intentional?
