Yeah, remind me how many times one conference has been favored in all its bowl games, and been favored by at least a touchdown in four of them? The Big East went 5-0 in large part because they had easy matchups. Maybe they played Buffalo because Howard, Eastern Washington and Temple already had commitments to play Big East teams. All teams do this. It's not exactly a new practice. I could go through all the major conferences and find a bunch of low DI-A and DI-AA schools that they schedule year in and year out. As for the first point, yeah, the Big East was favored. But they still went out and won the games. They could have packed it in, been ticked off they played crummy schools, and overlooked their bowl matchups. But they didn't. They went out and won the games that were given to them and that's all they could do. There was no sense complaining because it wasn't going to change anything.
