Why do you have to act so smug? Pretty funny considering he almost got a timeout for trolling in a Bears game thread not too long ago. But hey, better start another thread so he doesn't get "verbally attacked" in this thread. Bears fans just can't help themselves. Seriously, what a petty comment. Everyone has been discussing things fine in this thread. I happen to remember ndistops talking about getting verbally attacked when he was celebrating Notre Dame coming back and beating UCLA a couple weeks ago. And I was far from trolling in that Bears game thread a couple weeks back.

Nor did I say one bad thing about the Bears or a good thing about the Saints. I was simply stating that IF the Bears lose, some of you might not be too pleased with those of us rooting for the Saints celebrating. I do not see how that is smug in any way. I happen to think the Saints will win but am in no way guaranteeing a victory.

Not sure if this is a very good move. He's got a lot of talent, but it would seem smarter to play another year in June Jones' spread offense and show off his talents a little more. I figure he'd better do great at the combines to compete with Quinn, Russell, et al. Yeah, I think he should have stayed another year as well. There is always skepticism about how good the quarterback in these gimmick passing offenses (Hawaii and Texas Tech) actually is and I think another year would have only helped his draft stock.

Once again it will come down to Rex Grossman. If he has another game like he did against Seattle, the Bears will have a very good chance to win the game.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking too. No way would I want to face off against Belichek in a Super Bowl, especially since it would become a huge revenge game for New England, in addition to being a Super Bowl which they've never lost. I'd gladly take the Colts and Peyton over all that nasty synergy. The Patriots have lost at least one Super Bowl that I know of.... January 26, 1986. If I was the Saints and Bears, I would be rooting hard for the Colts to win. I would not want to face Belichick in the Super Bowl after he's had two weeks to prepare for the game.

Of course I would like to see Brady stink it up. But if Brady has a huge game, Manning doesn't but the Colts win, that's fine with me. So here's hoping for a Indy victory next Sunday.

The Bears are favored by 9 over Seattle not to mention that they pounded Seattle earlier this year. The Ravens and Colts were the 2 and 3 seeds while the Bears and Seahawks are the 1 and 4 seeds. The only reason the Colts win is considered an upset is because they were playing on the road. If the Bears were on the road they would still be favored over the Seahawks. It's not a double standard and the Ravens are not the biggest disappointment every. Your homerism is horribly clouding your judgment here. Thats not what I'm complaining about, I'm complaining about the fact that if the team has a bye and loses they should get the same treatment the Bears got last year. They were favored by just about as much as the Ravens were in this past game. Well first you said "if the Bears lose" which led me to believe you were talking about this year and not last year. Second, I don't remember everybody calling the Bears " the biggest failures in the universe" after they lost to Carolina last year. But if I was to guess why the Bears loss to the Panthers was a worse loss than the Ravens to the Colts it would be because of one thing: Steve Smith. Everybody knew the only offensive weapon the Panthers had was Steve Smith and that's it. Nothing else. But the Bears didn't do anything to take him out of the game like Seattle did and just let him do whatever he wanted. Maybe its my paranoid crazy homer Bear fandom (quoting soccer) but I honestly do feel like Chicago gets a (at least slightly) worse rap by the media. I don't know why this is. It might because we let them down (somewhat) during the middle of the season after everyone was calling for us to sweep through the NFL and win everything.
