  1. Yep, he said it. The safety, IMO, was a direct result of the Saints completely disregarding the need to run the ball. They ran 4 times in the 2nd half, and 3 times in the 2nd quarter (not including the Brees scramble). And this was when the game was 6-0 and 16-14. Still very manageable for the Saints. Really no reason for everybody on the Dline to be able to pin back when you are at your 5 yard line, because they know you aren't gonna run the ball. Those passes deep in their own end were not good calls, agreed. Part of all this is the experience factor too. Lovie went to the playoffs last year---that whole team did---and pretty much got plastered by a more experienced club. It makes a difference. You know what to expect the 2nd time around. And by "more experienced club" you must mean "Steve Smith".
  2. The longest Cubs game thread this year was on opening day and had 1729 posts - almost 400 less than this one currently has. The Super Bowl thread is going to be insane.
  3. I got no problem with the Bears being dogs. :) Seems like everyone's had us losing all year long, so I suppose it's only fitting that it remains the same for the big one. We play better when everyone's doubting us, like I said before the Saints game. I prefer it this way. Let the national pundits pick against us once again! I don't think it's as much a slight against the Bears but a slight against the NFC in general. No matter who ended up representing each conference in the Super Bowl, the AFC was going to be favored. Well, maybe not the Chiefs or Jets but who knows.
  4. And by angry I meant happy. I swear. :D
  5. Early line as per sportsbook.com is Indy (-7). I think Indy's favored by too much.
  6. Manning is a better QB stats-wise but him saying Brady is better than Manning is the same thing as saying Montana is better than Marino. A lot of people have QB's like Elway/Montana/Bradshaw/etc. as better than Marino because they won Super Bowl(s) and Marino didn't. But if you just look at the stats you won't get an argument that Marino is the best ever.
  7. huh, last I checked the Bears had Urlacher and Briggs He was talking about the Colts dipstick. by both sides I thought he meant both defensive units? Dipstick? Still sour over the beating today i see. LOL. Grow up. You need a serious beating with a humble stick. Smack talk is fine for pre-game, but once the game is done, simple sportsmanship suggests that someone should be gracious in defeat and humble in victory. I'm not runnin around calling people dipsticks. Just saying. Of course not, you prefer the term [expletive].

  9. The Colts should be the favorites...they're coming from the more dominant AFC. Lovie and Co thrive on being underdogs though. :) It won't be by much though. I'm guessing the Colts will be favored by 3.
  10. One more to go for the Colts. One more to go. Now I have a rooting in the Super Bowl.
  11. YES YES TOM BRADY PICKED OFF!!! YES YES!!!!!
  12. Good thing the Pats need a touchdown.
  13. TOUCHDOWN COLTS!!!! OMG!!!! YES YES YES YES
  14. Wow that was close. AND ROUGHING THE PASSER!!! Come on Manning. Screw the field goal, get the TD!!
  15. Nice throw by Manning and catch by Fletcher.
  16. Sanders should have had a pick 6.
  17. Where has Marvin Harrison gone? I know he's been playing but he hasn't made a catch since the first drive of the third quarter.
  18. Alright Peyton. It's your time. DO IT!
  19. YES!! Huge pass from Manning to Clark.
