    I heard somewhere that Clemens is losing $150K or something like that every day that he isn't on the active roster. Not that it really matters, but that's a pretty expensive price to pay.

    Ooo, Manny's a good one. He definitely should especially over Ortiz. But Ortiz locked up his legendary status with the two game winning hits in Games 4 and 5 of the 2004 playoffs against the Yankees. Not saying it's right, but he has. Getting back to Manny, he absolutely should go down as one of the greats. Unfortunately more people are going to remember him for "Manny being Manny" (namely, going inside the Monster to, um, relieve himself) and the yearly trade demands rather than the numbers he puts up year in and year out on the field.

    4-3. What put him over the top was what the Cubs gave up to get him.

    meh, his development isnt going to take him that MUCH further IMO. He is physically mature (hell he was at 17), and he will never be the most agile. He will improve some more, but i dont think he has that much talent that hasnt been already realized. he matured pretty early (in hs) and will prolly get to his peak early as well. He is still going to get better, because he will learn to play the game smarter. He also will get stronger, you do until your 30's. Well, LeBron is already 28 so he's only got a couple more years left.

    Fat Froeming got him suspended. c'mon, be serious. Kicking dirt on an umpire got him suspended He was suspended because they claimed he actually kicked the umpire. He likely would have been suspended anyway for kicking the dirt on the umpire and going on like he did. It just wouldn't have been indefinitely. Lou brought part of this on himself.

    Wait, the Cubs are winning? This has to be too good to be true. They'll lose 6-5.

    They just showed this on SportsCenter and I don't know if anybody else saw it but, the Denmark-Sweden Euro 2008 qualifier was abandoned with a minute left in the match. Story. The game was tied 3-3 - Denmark came back from 3 goals down - before it was abandoned. A Dane punched a Swede below the belt in the penalty area. After conferring with his linesman, the referee gave the Dane a red card and awarded Sweden a penalty kick. Before the kick could be taken a Danish fan ran onto the field and attacked the referee so the refereeing crew walked off the field.

    If you want to see Dusty get punished, matching him up with Prior and Wood wouldn't be the way to do it. Prior would break a nail and have to withdraw and Wood would injure his shoulder.

    2004. It was so infuriating, especially looking back, at how much talent that team had. 2006 wasn't too bad. They sucked (especially after Lee was hurt) and we knew they sucked.

    Where do you get them? I download most of the torrents from http://www.mininova.org (usually the Champions League or Premier League games) but the US games will probably be here. Seth sent me the link to the second site.

    Buster Olney was just on Baseball Tonight and said that after Z was sent to the locker room, he was screaming for Barrett to come to the locker room to finish the fight. Barrett did and Olney said that multiple punches were thrown and that Barrett took the brunt of it. He said besides the lip, Barrett probably has a black eye as well. Doesn't look too good for Z right now.

    Nah, it's Saturday. The Cubs are actually good on Saturday's this year. They'll win this one and then lose on Sunday.

    Sometimes you have to own it. First Barrett calls for a pitch and gets crossed up Then he makes a really stupid play to compound the already stupid cross up. I looked to me like Z was telling Barrett to use his head. And Barrett told Z to not suck so much.

    I'd be pissed if I was Zambrano because of how much I sucked today. Z gave up 13 hits. 13 hits!! Six of the seven runs he allowed were earned. Zambrano sucked today, plain and simple.

    After the fight today I think the answer to this question is a unanimous "yes".

    I could care less if they lose as long as they get into a fight every time.
