Also weirdly enough, because both teams are in the AAC now, they could play in the conference championship game on Dec 6, then the selection show would be Dec 8 and the two teams are scheduled to play their annual game on Dec 14.
At least in Detroit and KC's case, the benefits of getting to play one of the worst teams in history 13 times vs. only 6 for the other AL teams. Detroit went 10-3 vs. the Sox while KC went 12-1. They both beat out Seattle (6-1 vs. the Sox) by a game.
This can’t be the Braves getting cute and trying to save Sale for tomorrow right?
EDIT: Hasn’t pitched since Sept 19 so probably not them getting cute.
Going to need someone to explain to me how this is a red card. I get that Fernandes goes high and it looks bad. But he went high because he slipped and not only that, he just trips Maddison and never gets him with the studs. If he had slipped and got Maddison in the knee with his studs, okay. That could take out a guys knee. But we can't be giving straight reds for tripping a guy. VAR cleared it too and didn't even have the ref take a look.
Not sure it would have affected the outcome since Tottenham were in control but you never know. ManU still had 45 minutes at home to tun it around.
Arizona is pretty F’d right? Whoever wins Game 1 is in and won’t be playing anyone in Game 2. I’d be pretty pissed if I was Arizona because they absolutely could have gotten these games in but didn’t.
And I have no idea what they're going to do. I'm not sure the guy fully had it but they also ruled it a catch and I don't see enough to overturn it. If they called it incomplete I'm not sure they overturn it either.
Stupid Angels had 2 out in the 8th inning but the 2nd baseman couldn’t catch a pop in just on the grass in the outfield which let the WS tie the game. Next batter singled to give the Sox the lead.
If the White Sox go:
6-0 they'll end up with the 6th worst winning percentage ever
5-1 it's the 5th worst
4-2 or 3-3 it's the 2nd worst
2-4 or worse it's the worst winning percentage ever
