    Hopefully they don’t move Shota to Monday next week. Going on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Shota is scheduled to pitch Tuesday.

    Reds scored 14 runs on Mar 31 and 11 runs on Apr 5. In their other 10 games they've scored 17 runs total. They lost 3 straight 1-0 games last week and then beat SF 1-0 today. So that's four 1-0 games out of 12 played.

    Sounds like Malone and Booth didn’t like each other and the owner wanted to clean house. Don’t know why you wouldn’t just fire the GM now, let Malone coach the playoffs and go from there.

    That was a pretty disappointing ending. Wish they could have gotten a shot off at least.

    Really glad the refs decided to call 13 fouls in the first 6 minutes of the 2nd half. 7 minutes left and Florida in the double bonus, Houston in the bonus.

    That foul call is going to get the headlines and I don't think it should have been called. But Duke had already blown the lead at that point and certainly were on the right end of calls earlier in the game (one I remember in particular was the ball clearly went off Knueppel's foot and they gave the ball to Duke. The refs aren't the reason Duke lost. They made 1 FG in the last 10 minutes. That's the reason they lost.

    3 runs scored without the ball leaving the infield is not great.

    Walking Heyward might be reason enough for a trip to the minors.

    When you consider the stakes, that it was a national semifinal, that's got to be a top-5 collapse ever right? -Up 14 with 8:17 left -Up 9 with 2:17 left -Up 6 with the ball with 1:14 left and they used almost the full 30 seconds before shooting so Houston got the ball with 47 seconds left.

    Suck it, Duke. Houston outscored them 25-8 over the last 8:17 of the game. Can't believe they came back. Was also 15-3 over the last 3 minutes after Flagg hit a 3 to push it to 9.

    Ovechkin with 2 tonight to tie Gretzky and he got there in one fewer game, which is crazy that it was so close. Next game is Sunday against the Islanders.

    How does it make sense to send Shota back out, throw five pitches to one hitter, gets him out and then you take him out? You left him in to face a righty so it’s not like you wanted the lefty-lefty matchup. The 9 hitter is coming up so it’s not a 4th time through the order thing. Not a big deal but I don’t get it.

    Boy do I relate to some of those things and 100% if I had the money those guys do, I’d keep doing it too.

    Jokic with 61-11-10 tonight in double OT. Steph went for 52 including 12-20 on 3. He was 8-10 from 3 in the first half and it's a game like that where you wish he was more of a gunner to see how many he could hit in a game. He could have broken Klay's mark of 14 in a game if he really wanted to.

    At this rate he’ll be at the right price point for Ricketts.

    The tournament has been fine. It’s definitely not the best but I feel comfortable saying it’s not the worst tourney. I don’t particularly care that it’s all 1 seeds in the FF. If this starts becoming more routine, then sure. But just last year a 4 and an 11 made the FF, and 8 double digit seeds won first round games. And 2023 we had a FF with teams seeded 4, 5, 5 and 9, a 15 seed made the S16 and a 16 seed won a game. Maybe this year is a sign of things to come but it might also just be a blip. Need to give it a couple more years to find out.
