  1. Ok EJ can I sig this?Seriously? Sure. I was drunk on Geo at the time. If you're going to do it, Keener, you have to put all three of these lines in the sig.
  2. Hey whiny Brewer fan, How many games has Prince Fielder missed this year due to injuries? How about Ryan Braun? Sure doesn't hurt to have your best hitters not have to spend a month on the DL and, in Rammy's case, have a nagging injury that forces him to have periodic days off to keep him relatively healthy. It also sure is unlucky for the Brewers to call up Ryan Braun in the last week of May only to see him hit 31 home runs in 3.5 months. Not a big deal. I mean, it's only a pace for 49 home runs on the year. You also have a career year out of Prince Fielder. J.J. Hardy had 25 home runs in 1253 PA's in his minor league career and he's got 25 in 592 PA's with the Brewers this year. And boy are the Cubs lucky that Carlos Zambrano has put up his worst ERA in his six years as a starter this year. And as for single game breaks? How about Rickie Weeks going Albert Pujols on Brad Lidge the other day? Yeah, I know Houston still won the game, but that thing shouldn't have gone into the tenth inning. It's not the Cubs' fault that your team can't win a road series if their lives depended on it. The Brewers are 31-47 on the road this year which is tied with the Giants for 6th worst road record in the majors. All of the teams with road records as bad or worse than the Brewers are at least 13 games under .500 (Texas is the best at 70-83). Your team blew an 8.5 game lead in a little over 5 weeks. EDIT: And the Cubs sure got lucky that they were stupid enough to leave their best catcher in AAA until September. Lucky us.
  3. Two down. Finish this thing, Demp.
  4. Alright, Bautista. Time to stop fouling off pitches and just make an out.
  5. fixed Wrong. He's great in save situations and horrible in non-save situations.
  6. Demp is horrible in non-save situations.
  7. He hasn't pitched since Sunday. I really wouldn't want him coming in tomorrow on 5 days rest. I didn't realize it had been that long.
  8. It took 2 or three games combined to get the game threads to 12 pages.
  9. Cubs were up 0.5 games on the Giants and 2.5 games on the Astros with 8 games to play (and only 7 to play for the Astros). The Cubs were up 3 in the loss column at that point. Geez, Houston really had no business getting in at all The Giants went 4-3 in their final 7 games and the only way the Astros could win the division outright was to win their final seven. Which they did.
  10. Why is Dempster in this game? Don't make it interesting, Demp.

  12. Cubs were up 2 games after the games on August 28 and were up 2.5 games after the games on August 30.
  13. ABD: Anybody But Dempster since it's not a save situation.
  14. If they made the LCS then he would, I believe he'll be the No. 1 guy. I doubt TBS gets LCS games too... FOX probably gets those right Lee! 3 hits for Derek TBS is doing the NLCS, Fox is doing the ALCS. I hope not!! Unless TBS is coming out with an HD channel within the next 2 weeks... They are. Playoff schedule.
  15. Rammy was trying for the hat trick there.
  16. Murton out of the game, Jacque in to play RF.
