  1. This will be the smallest gap between seasons the Cubs have ever had though...if that helps. Only if the Cubs win.
  2. One ring to rule them all One game to decide it One ring to bring them all in And in the World Series divide them.
  3. So probably the same lineup tomorrow, right? I'm guessing they won't use Montero because of his throwing issues.
  4. "Nobody else is up in the bullpen" WHY JOE, WHY? IT'S A horsefeathering SEVEN RUN GAME.
  5. Wish they'd gotten a couple more so Chapman didn't even have to warm up.
  6. there's your answer I was going to say they probably hold Schwarber there even if he's fully healthy but then I remembered it was Gary Jones so who knows.
  7. RFer got lucky there. That could have been a knee injury if Naquin takes his legs out.
  8. If Dave Cameron had a chat last round he would have said the same thing about Kershaw.
  9. Would have been nice to get a couple of those on Friday.
  10. Last seven teams to advance to the World Series first, lost the series.
  11. wouldn't this be closer to coming home with Lackey and Hammel on short rest after Lester and Arrieta went to the DL last month? i wouldn't compare kluber to either one of those guys Yeah, it would be having Lackey or Hammel in Game 6 and then Lester in Game 7.
  12. And wherever he is, a small part of Kyle is sad the Cubs can't lose 3 straight games again this postseason.
  13. I never understood the "unlikable" deal with Lester. He's a red ass on the mound but ultra-competitive and he's not Lackey bitching at everyone. By all accounts he's a good teammate and pretty laid back guy when he's not pitching. Yeah, the difference is Lester doesn't get visibly pissed whenever his teammates make even the smallest mistake.
