  1. 13 of the last 14 Super Bowl participants (including this year) from the AFC have been quarterbacked by either Brady, Manning or Roethlisberger. There have been 11 different quarterbacks to lead NFC teams to the Super Bowl in the same span. That goes to 12 if Atlanta wins on Sunday. The only repeats are Wilson and Eli.
  2. Javy's standing there wondering who the white dude on his right is.
  3. What's the point in having concussion protocol if dude's who get hit in the head and are completely out of it on the field are let back into the game a few minutes later? Conley takes a vicious hit to his head in the fourth quarter, looks like he couldn't tell you what country he was in or what game he was playing, and he's back in a couple plays later. And I know the answer is the NFL doesn't really give a horsefeathers, they just care that people think they care about concussions.
  4. The Kings have an option where you can upgrade your seats to the lower bowl through their app in the two hours leading up to the game. The tickets are heavily discounted. So I upgraded to fourth row from the floor for tonight's Thunder game and holy horsefeathers was it worth it (my original $44 and the upgrade was $94, and the seats I upgraded to were $300 fees included for the game). Russ messed around and got a triple double, but the highlight was this: [tweet] [/tweet] I was in that end and was about 30 feet away from the hoop.
  5. So it's ok for him to be away from his mother-in-law to spend a couple days in Chicago for the Convention but not to visit the White House?
  6. They're very good and last year was not a fluke.
  7. Over the last 5 years, the AL team with the most wins is the Orioles. Was a little surprised when I heard it on the Effectively Wild podcast but it made sense when I thought about it for a bit. They've been somewhere between decent and good each of the five years. None of the other AL teams can say that. The Yankees (#2) have only had one good year while the Rangers (#3) and Tigers (#4) have each had a bad season in there. The other interesting thing was the difference between the NL and AL in that span. The NL had the top-3 teams (Cards, Nats, Dodgers) as well as No. 5 (Pittsburgh). While the AL had the worst two teams (Houston, Minnesota), the NL had the next 5 worst, 7 of the bottom 10 and 10 of the bottom 14.
  8. The San Diego Chargers of Los Angeles.
  9. Better than whatever Trump would spew out of his mouth if they went when he's in office.
  10. Yeah, this is stupid.
  11. Well that was a fun game.
  12. Bama's offense is not very good. If they can't run the ball, they've got very little.
  13. New England opened -14.5 over Houston and that quickly went up to -16 or -17. It was the largest opening playoff spread since 1998. Largest spread ever in the playoffs was -18.
  14. James Harden went 53-17a-16r on 14-26 shooting including 9-16 on 3s.
  15. That second game was a straight up ass kicking. OSU's offense was abysmal. Title game should be fun though.
  16. Michigan-FSU got fun all of a sudden.
  17. For those who got the regular DVD, is this the same one that's sold on MLB.com? https://www.amazon.com/2016-World-Champions-Chicago-Cubs/dp/B01L1TX2I0/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1483155877&sr=1-1&keywords=cubs+world+series+dvd I got the 8 disc set as a gift but that doesn't appear to have the regular season highlights or the movie that aired on TV a couple weeks ago.

  19. Before today, the Browns, Niners and Jaguars had combined to go 3-39 this year. They went 3-0 today.
  20. Well our season is over. Carrot rolled up on getting sacked and appeared to either break his leg or ankle. Congrats on another Super Bowl appearance, New England.
  21. His complete non reaction after the Miggy slam against LA will always stick with me. It looked like he either didn't understand what was going on or he was actually playing for the Dodgers. I know he probably was still stewing on giving up those two runs (nevermind that he came in bases loaded no outs so I don't blame him for that), but just show a little excitement. Instead he just sat there stone faced. he was probably afraid of what uptight baseball people would say if he acted happy after giving up the lead. everything about chapman as a player/teammate was fine while he was here. he's a bad person for other reasons. I agree, it would have been horrible for him to look like a good teammate. I'm not saying he wasn't a good teammate during his time here. All I was saying was that reaction stuck with me.

  23. Raiders officially back in the playoffs for the first time since 2002!
  24. almost horsefeathering homered off kluber in g1 when we couldn't touch him And then laid off a couple sick sliders from Miller to draw a walk later in the game.
  25. Am I remembering correctly that even after they took the big lead, the Cubs STILL didn't get somebody up right away? And I want to say the next guy walked, and even during that whole at-bat they didn't have somebody get up. I apologize if my memory is spreading misinformation. It took at least a couple minutes for them to get somebody up in the pen. It should have been instantaneous though and it certainly wasn't.
