Well this game unfortunately got interesting all of a sudden.

Chourio doubled, then got thrown out at third on a grounder to SS.

Different plays. Picked off the runner on second. Then a couple pitches later they threw a pickoff to 1st and the runner took off. They threw him out at second.

Strictly looking at his stats, he reminds me of KB. -Crushed the ball in college for 3 years -Drafted and then crushes the ball for half a season in the minors at age 21 -partial season for Kurtz and a year younger but he's got a 31.7% K rate and a 10.6% walk rate (before today) this year while KB was at 30.6 and 11.8 his rookie year

Rockies had gone 220 games without recording a shutout before today. It was the third longest streak in major league history and they’re the only team since 1900 to go at least 200 games without a shutout. They beat the Cardinals 6-0 today. -

Why do we keep sending Brown out there? Something clearly isn't working with him. How hard is it to find some guy who can pitch to a 4.3 ERA? Even that would be way better than what Brown is doing this year.

Yeah that was really bad. I just assumed Kyle was in one of his phases where he’s completely lost interest in the Cubs and disappeared.

Wasn't there a poster in 2018 who kept saying the Brewers weren't that good or am I mixing up the years? I'm just getting some major deja vu about the Brewers not being as good as us yet sticking in the race. He wrote articles for the site, I believe. And yes, I"m well aware that just because it happened in the past doesn't mean it's going to happen again this year.

Dodgers down 6-4 in the ninth, bases loaded and two outs. Guy grounds one softly toward short, shortstop is shifted so he has to make a running off balance throw that goes off the 1Bmans glove and trickles behind him. Makes it 6-5. Except the guy running to third basically jogs there and stops, preventing him from scoring the tying run. Solid work!
