  1. Yep. This is from the broadcast right after they got done showing a replay of the previous play. Clearly on 0 and Helsley hasn't thrown the ball yet.
  2. I look forward to see how we lose this game and how squally pops into the thread after to tell us that everything will be fine and Milwaukee will lose again eventually.
  3. The 2016 team was also coming off a 97 win season and an NLCS appearance, and then demolished the league for the first 2 1/2 months. At no point has this team played close to as good as that team for any extended period.
  4. As funny as that would be, it appears to be fake.
  5. They aren’t an offensive juggernaut but they’re solid. T9th in OPS+ and 10th in wRC+. Of their top 9 hitters, they have 1 with an OPS above .800 and it’s .801 but they’ve only got 1 below .700. Pitching wise, you have to get to their 10th pitchier in IP before you get a guy with an ERA over 3.6 and you have to get to their 16th guy before you reach a second one. For the Cubs, after Boyd, our 2 and 3 guys in IP have ERA’s over 4 and our 4th guy has an ERA over 6. Obviously you’re not going to win many games getting 3 hits, but they also don’t need to hit that well to win games when they pitch as well as they do.
  6. I'm not going to say I knew it was gone, but I felt good about it based on Turner holding the bat up the way he did. He knew he hammered that pitch.
  7. San Francisco, particularly at night, is typically tough on hitters, especially when it comes to hitting home runs. This is part of the reason the Giants haven’t had a guy hit 30 home runs in a season since Bonds in 2004.
  8. 6-7 in their last 13. Still mediocre. I kid I kid.
  9. Are you even watching? First pitch to him was a slider also.
  10. 7 out of 10 on the fake rally scale there.
  11. The Cubs also get to play St Louis and Pittsburgh in August. While we don't get Arizona, we have 3 against the Angels and 3 against the Rockies.
  12. It's a good thing we don't determine strength of schedule for 2 months based on 6 games. Both teams have 3 vs Tor and 3 vs NYM. Cubs have 7 vs Cincy and Mil has 6. Milwaukee also plays 3 against Philly and 3 against San Diego. Cubs also have 3 more against the Rockies while the Brewers are done with them.
  13. Well this isn't annoying at all. 416 feet into the wind too.
  14. The Yankees traded for all three of these guys the last couple days. You hate to see it!
  15. Crowdsourced top-10:
  16. Seiya hitting into a DP there was so incredibly predictable.
  17. I had completely forgotten about Assad. Also didn’t realize oblique injuries could keep a guy out for this long.
