    saying anything other than "the cubs will obviously win 90+ games and the brewers are 100% trash" is seen as freaking out. the "it's only _____" thing just becomes annoying at a certain point, because it has a way of always being pushed back. plus, injuries happen, and we might be seeing with darvish. they need to be winning games and not assuming they'll come later, because it not happening would be far from the weirdest thing to happen in baseball this year. No you’re right keep being overly worried about a team playing at an 88 win pace for the season while statistically looking like a 95+ win team. Yeah the Darvish injury is concerning but let’s not act like you just starting being concerned today. All I’m saying is like maybe enjoy baseball for a little while. And regarding Darvish, if we're just looking at this year and ignoring the long term issues with him maybe having another Tommy John, we've been an 88 win team and he's been crap. So based just on what he's done this year so far, it's not like we're losing much from that 88 win team. I get that we all expected more from and and if healthy, he'd probably be much better than the 4.95 ERA he's put up so far. It's not like we're an 88 win team and we just lost Jake at his 2015 apex. So if Darvish is out for the year and Monty comes in and puts up a 4 ERA, that's an upgrade on what Darvish has been in 2018.

    How long until we stop making excuses for pitchers and say it’s the ball when they give up homers that barely get out? It’s the same for every team every day and it’s been like this for a couple years now. It’s just the ball at this point. It’s not like the wind which varies day by day. Not complaining about you specifically but just a general statement about the ball in general.

    They’re also 18-19 when they’re not playing the three worst teams in the NL and the Royals. I mean, those wins still count but they’re not going to keep that up against crappy teams either.

    AJ Ramos trying to give the game to Milwaukee. Thrown 8 pitches and only one has been a strike. EDIT: Make that nine pitches and only one strike. Most weren’t even close either.

    Jose Bautista sort of paid us back for the homer against us. Singled with 2 outs in the top of the ninth to tie that game against Milwaukee.

    Doesn’t bode well for Game 7 if they’re already ruling Paul out for Game 6.

    Yeah, I would guess they’re trying to get as much money on the Caps as possible to balance it out since the odds of Vegas winning were so high at the beginning of the year (over 100-1). but it's not like there was a ton of money bet on them. How much they would have to pay out matters just as much if not more.

    Vegas/books probably know they are going to take a lot of money on them so they adjusted it more for that than who they think is gonna win. I read the other day if Vegas wins, with the futures bet on them, sportbooks will take a loss on the year overall for NHL betting since so many people put money on them for the hell of it at the beginning of the year. They have a multi-million dollar exposure to them winning.
