Maybe. But if the Rockies don’t use Freeland tomorrow, he is good for games 1-5 and Marquez is good for another one. The Dodgers can get Kershaw (big game struggles aside) for 1-5 and have a lot of other good pitching to pitch the other games. With the Brewers, none of their starters particularly scare me more than the others, they are all somewhere between adequate and pretty good. Yeah the Dodgers and Rockies are only in trouble if they lose today and have to play tomorrow. They’ll be fine for the NLDS.

I assume Counsell will do whatever it takes to win this game if the Brewers are winning which means we need to get a few runs off whoever they decide to start. If we’re up by 3 after 5, he might decide to hold off on using his better relievers and save them for Tuesday.

So the Rockies are starting Marquez tomorrow which means whoever they would pitch on Tuesday would have an ERA of at least 4.38. Dodgers would probably go tandem starters with Stripling, Maeda and Wood.
