VAR ... Great invention or greatest invention? In all seriousness, I hate the new handball rule. It was an accidental handball. I know City benefited from it, but the goal wasn't scored directly from the handball. I didn't like the handball call in the UCL final and I don't like this one. Are they going to give PK's every time a defender touches the ball with his hand in the box? Because it only seems fair to do that if you're going to disallow goals for stuff like this. As for City, not only do they get denied by VAR again in extra time against Spurs, but the handball rule that's in place now would have overturned Spurs's winning goal in the UCL quarters last year because it went in off Llorente's arm.
