All joking aside..Nefti, was a cool cat. He never asked to start over Todd Walker or anybody else, he knew what he could do. If Baker started him, he would try his best, if he came off the bench, he would do his best. Nefti knew what his role role. If certain Cubs (or ex Cubs) would have played to their talent level, or to their role was expecting of them, maybe Nefti would not have been needed as much. I'm glad he was traded, but I don't believe Nefti should be a whipping boy, simply because he did what the coaches asked of him. I'm sure this has been mention, but does everybody realize that all participants in the 2B contrevesy at the begining of the yr, have all been traded? Hairston (Texas), Walker (San Diego), and Perez (Detroit). Just interesting.
