  1. The last time the Cubs did the sign a name reliever in the middle of the season, it did not work. (Kimbrel).
  2. 1. a more athletic Michael Conforto. 2. A Sam Fuld/Donnie Dewees. 3. A harder throwing Kyle Hendricks. I mean not the most exciting but not terrible either.
  3. I like Busch in the leadoff spot but with this being the Sunday before ASB, I expect a no call/no show from the offense today. With that said, prove me wrong Cubs.
  4. Simply put, Judge (or Bonds) are not infallible. They still get out a majority of the time. You can not be afraid to pitch to these guys because they are harder to get out than say a Jon Berti.
  5. A HR in that situation kills the rally. Despite another runner reaching base, the Cubs got a clean slate. There is a time and place to walk Judge but B9 and his team is trailing 0-5 is not one of those times. No free runners in the situation.
  6. He is.now in line with Johnson. If Johnson fails both are gone at the same time.
  7. I was frustrated that I was not making my point clearly. People was focus on a player who I was trying to use as an example. Do not take this the wrong way chops but I am done with this particular discussion. I could not make my point clearly and it confused people. I apologize. Ready to move on.
  8. Anytime he wants to go supernova, I will be here for it.
  9. Shaw has got to start hitting or I am jumping on the send Shaw back to AAA.
  10. *sighs* Stop focusing on the Skenes part. What I am asking is what does the Cubs All In plan look like?
  11. I respect their consistency but it's that consistency that limits their ceiling as a franchise. They've become the NL's Rays. A good team yearly that can get the playoffs but not good enough to actually go deep in the playoffs.
  12. I was wondering what does all in mean. My all in is not the same as yours or Rcals, etc. I know there is 0% chance of Skenes getting traded but he would be part of my all in scenario. Basically what is the Cubs all in scenario?
  13. Depending on the two pitchers, the Cubs could cancel out that advantage the Brewers have.
  14. I'm just saying everybody has a different version of all in. "All in" is just too vague for me.
  15. What does "all in" look like? For me, that means getting Skenes/Bednar from the Pirates and Suarez from the Dbacks.
  16. Agreed. It seems every time the Brewers get close to the Cubs, Chicago to move back to 4 or 5 games in front. When Mil does inevitably go on a 2nd half cold spell, that is when the Cubs will put some distance between them and Mil. I do not care about tonight. Would not surprise me if the Cubs win the next two and get their lead back over 4.
  17. Beat the Cards is always a good fun. Smashing the Cards on national television is just so damn beautiful.
  18. Yeah, Alcantara feels like an off-season acquistion not a mid-season trade.
