  1. I agree. The Brewers will go cold, at some point. You don't want to be peaking in late July/early August, It would not surprise me if Milwaukee goes into Seattle and loses 2 of 3 or get swept because baseball.
  2. There is no assuming. That is what Mil has done recently. Until they break that trend, they get no benefit of the doubt. ATP Milwaukee is a good regular season team but essentially a playoff jobber.
  3. I'm begging you guys, please stop worrying about the Brewers. Please?
  4. I'm not accepting anything but I am also not going to worry about the vaunted brewers. The Brewers will do what the Brewers have always done in recent times.....the leave the playoffs quickly. Everything hot will go cold, it'll happen. Keep grinding away and I am confident the Cubs will be there in the end.
  5. If it is the end for Ryno, I am going to cry. As a kid, he was my guy. I played 2B because of him. I hope this is not the end.
  6. Sorry for the late reply. Isn't Busch a GG caliber 1B? I know he is not PCA defensively but he is pretty damn defensively himself.
  7. I have no problem with sitting Busch against Crochet. I do find it interesting that they sit Busch against Crochet but not PCA.
  8. As Rcal mentioned, Castro is a rental. Cubs better not give a quality prospect like Long for a non impact rental bat like Castro. I can be talked into Long for Suarez but not Long for Castro.
  9. Bo Jackson throwing out Harold Reynolds is still the greatest throw I've ever seen.
  10. I'm not even worry about them I believe August will be chilly for them. Cubs should keep during their thing.
  11. Why can't it both? A duped by PCA and a bonehead play by the runnrunner?
  12. I say stop worrying about what Mil is doing. The Cubs should keep doing their thing and take care of the Brewers when it is time to play Mil. Do that and it won't matter what Mil is doing.
  13. Ngl when Estrada broke out with the Padres, I was annoyed. Watching Palencia do his thing this year ended my annoyance with Estrada.
  14. But ties are pointless. Which is why I've accepted the ghost runner.
  15. I'm going to wait and see him be healthy before I give him a slot. Do not get me wrong, I do believe he's a top 5 talent in the system, when he is healthy.
  16. Is it fair to put a 2025 first round pick (one who is currently injured) in the top ten before we know how he adjust to pro ball?
  17. I get that game has to change and I've accepted it but some of the new changes (like ghost runners) will always feel like an awkward add to the game.
  18. I might be in the minority but eff the ghost runner, or any other gimmick, I love a good marathan extra inning game. The longer the better.
  19. TIL the Mets called the Cubs back in 2023 and pitch a Pete Alonso for PCA trade. Conversation was brief.
  20. I think he is going back to Sweden.
  21. The last time the Cubs did the sign a name reliever in the middle of the season, it did not work. (Kimbrel).
