I hope the Cubs offense get out of their own heads, relax at the plate and get back to their individual strengths. I thought they were at their best, offensively, when they work the pitchers, get on base, steal and just "pass the baton." Don't worry about what Milwaukee, or San Diego/LA or NYM are doing, just go out and play baseball. Just relax.

I like seeing the Bears look like a competent offense, but I am reminding myself this is still preseason. I really like for this offense to show up in the regular season. Please.

Probably not. He did not exactly light it up with the Steelers and they do have a decent coach.

At least we are not alone in being frustrated with the Brewers unreal run. Reds fans also frustrated.

Don't worry guys, the Cubs will get hot just in time to finish a game out of the playoffs. Counsell will say some crap about "being proud" that this team fought to the end and NSBB folks will collectively roll their eyes.

I am way past angry about this team. I am in a state of apathy with this team. On to the next game, I guess.

I HATE when players do this. They think they are helping the team by playing "through it" but they, more times than not, are hurting the team than helping. Obviously there is something wrong with Tucker. Put his butt on the IL and let Cassie and Suzuki alternate between RF/DH until he comes back.

OTOH he would be making his debut in Canada, which is a big deal for Canadians. Yeah, I give him the start.

Why can't Cassie be used in rotation with the rest of the OF? I'm not saying he should start and X benched but what if on Thursday he is in LF, Happ gets a day off. The next game he is in RF and Tucker sits, and so on and so on? I mean what's the point of calling up Cassie if he does not get to play?

This game went as expected. Oh well. On to the next game. Silver lining? The Cubs used less pitchers than the Blue Jays.
