I know both guys tried to play it down after the game but the look on the catchers face after being hit said it all. He wanted to have words with Valdez but thought better of it. -
I don't care what some people on this board will say but I am definitely questioning this team's effort.

I've given up hope that this team can get hot again. The Cubs continuing to be tepid is all I ask for the rest of the season.

How else are you going to convince someone of Parsons ability to willingly go to Green Bay? With the said, it would not surprise me if the Packers end up trading him within 3 years.

I, too, rather the Cubs play their way into the playoffs and not back door their way in. I'm going to be greedy and say anything less then a sweep of the Rockies will be a disappointed. But I am prepared for disappointment.

Here's to the Packders trading Parsons in three years with nothing accomplished. With that said, the Packers are still all about Jordan Love. He does take a step forward in 2025, it won't matter they got Parsons.

Does not surprise me. Cubs do not seem to play well in San Francisco. It's one of the few places that I dread the Cubs having to go. Find a way to not get swept.

To be honestly, IDC about the division. Once the playoffs start, everything resets. As much as I've been down on the Cubs recently, I do want them to make the playoffs.

Some Bears fans think you can get a 2nd for Bagent. Me, personally? Sam Howell trade (Howell and a 7th to Minn for a 5th) is a more likely scenario.
