  1. How sad is a lineup/offense when Pagan in the 5-hole is the right decision?
  2. Who cares? The only thing I bother with come the ASB is the Futures Game. Sucks for Liriano and Hafner, though.
  3. Daytona's game is being delayed because of "wet grounds." Ahh, the good ol' FSL.
  4. Hill definitely could use a 3rd pitch, but you can't tell me he's doing the same thing in the big leagues as he is at Iowa in terms of his FB location. He has only given up 2 HRs this season at Iowa - his FB location has got to be much better than it has been in the big leagues for him to do that (especially given his gopher ball problems last season). I'm guessing Hill is doing a few other things better at Iowa as compared to his big league stint - the gap in talent isn't that big.
  5. And anything else intiguing about Avery (the closer) besides his "wicked breaking pitches"?
  6. Wait, you guys go and ban someone I actually was winning an argument against? That's not fair. :x
  7. Luther Murphy gets Mesa their 3rd hit of the day (a single). In return, the Brewers score 2 more. Mesa now down 10-0 in the 6th. Wow, it's a cool day out in Mesa. Game time temps at 10:30 was 88!
  8. The AZL Brewers are blowing away Mesa 8-0 in the 4th. Oscar Bernard gave up 5 Rs (2 ER) in 2 innings. Rafael Dolis followed with 3 unearned runs in 0.2 innings (AND 5 walks, but 0 hits...yeesh). The only hits from Mesa so far are from Cory Vanderhook (a double) and Valerio Heredia.
  9. His ERA drops to 1.81 on the AAA season. That was just the 2nd HR he has given up at AAA.
  10. 5 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 5/2, 66 pitches (44 strikes)
  11. Hill has a quiet 3rd and 4th. After 4: 4 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 5/2 It's 0-0 in the 5th.
  12. Wow, 48-10 is pretty close.
  13. A few of those guys might end up being potential DFEs. Wilken collected a lot of them along the way.
  14. Heh, sounds like Colvin (outside of the being fast bit).
  15. He didn't hit anyone last time out. So he was actually on a pace of 3 HBP per 2 IP after his first start.
  16. Probable Starters: Iowa: LHP Rich Hill (5-1, 1.85 ERA, 77.2 IP, 101/16, 0.88 WHIP) vs. RHP Anastacio Martinez (3-5, 4.08 ERA) West Tenn: LHP Chris Shaver (4-5, 2.17 ERA, 87 IP, 77/33, 1.23 WHIP) vs. RHP Carlos Alvarado (4-0, 1.34 ERA) Daytona: RHP Justin Berg (5-6, 4.74 ERA, 91 IP, 68/44, 1.58 WHIP) vs. RHP Jose Sanchez (8-4, 3.54 ERA) Peoria: RHP Todd Blackford (7-2, 3.97 ERA, 88.1 IP, 37/41, 1.46 WHIP) vs. RHP Juan Jimenez (2-4, 4.56 ERA) Boise: RHP Jeff Samardzija (0-1, 3.60 ERA, 5 IP, 5/1, 3 HBP, 1.00 WHIP) vs. RHP Josh Sullivan (0-2, 0.56 ERA) Mesa: RHP Oscar Bernard (0-1, 4.50 ERA, 6 IP, 3/1, 1.17 WHIP)
  17. 91-94 FB with movement, plus curve, average change. He has a funky motion that is tough for hitters to pick up.
  18. Dope Ks swinging a 2-2 count. 1 out. Moore strikes out looking on a 2-2 pitch. 2 outs. Sing pops out to the catcher. Jaxx lose 8-6 in 14.
  19. Chatanooga scored 2 in the top of the 14th to jump ahead 8-6. The Jaxx have Dope, Moore and Sing in the bottom of the 14th.
