  1. That would definitely explain why Drew Rundle cracked the Top 20. His traditional stats are nothing special and his tools are still a work in progress, but that .146 IsoD is really tantalizing. Also, that 1.003 OPS against lefties is decidedly bizarre, considering he's a left handed hitter. Colvin is in a similar boat (.988 against LHPs), to boot. Drew Rundle's tools are still good enough to crack BA's Top 20. I think they'd still let you ask questions via BA for the Top 20s. They better. I'm pretty disappointed that they're releasing this on Wednesday when I'll be in transit. I have a bunch of questions in regards to the AZL, irregardless of who makes the list and where.
  2. My bad, RichHillIsABeast. I missed the question mark. Definitely.
  3. Who said that? The assumption that he isn't on steroids anymore is based on the stricter testing.
  4. BA will have their AZL Top 20 out on Wednesday. (Too bad I'll be in India then and without Internet access...please flood the chat with Cubs questions!)
  5. What do they gain besides making people "feel better?" It's completely arbritary as to whether or not "hustling" would actually change plays significantly and often enough to alter a team's season or even the game being played at the time. Actually reaching or gaining an extra base if a fielder commits a mistake? That's possible even if a fielder doesn't commit a mistake. If Aramis really isn't hustling because he's afraid of injury, he needs to get a trainer this offseason. Aramis not hustling isn't on my top 10 list of Cub problems.
  6. The game is on FOX. Please be safe on the turf, Sexy Rexy. The usual array of pics: http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20060917/capt.73648ee036b84967be5d82dc56d7f95f.lions_bears_football_cxb108.jpg http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20060917/capt.9b9490d4d3bf47279b6f5693e250ec91.lions_bears_football_cxb112.jpg http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20060917/capt.496b8e2cce29475885ebd9a6dc864187.lions_bears_football_cxb110.jpg
  7. First road game for Ben Olson. Please beat Washington and Stanford while I'm out of the country. Thank you.
  8. The SEC has played Cal, Michigan, USC, Louisville, Mizzou, and Hawaii, with games against West Virginia, Colorado, Florida State, Fresno State, and Georgia Tech later in the season. Really, there is very little difference. Now, how many of those SEC teams are playing Auburn? Then we'll look at the records of those games and we'll see as the season progresses. I don't like the SOS because that again helps the SEC. Their teams are ranked high to begin with and have to fail while BE teams like Louisville have to prove they belong and are behind the whole time. Why, Auburn plays LSU and beats them. LSU has one loss now and wins out in the SEC and is a game behind Auburn making their win look even that much better. Both teams, yet again, have beat no one out of conference just like WV. If WV beats Loiusville do they get the same respect and hop above Auburn? No they won't if both are undefeated even if Louisville is undefeated when they play WV. The system won't allow that to happen and it's the same stuff Penn State had to put up with with all their undefeated teams. I'll believe the SEC is better when either Auburn beats WV, middle of the pack SEC team beats a top Conference teams or the middle or bottom/middle teams in the SEC beat up on most of another conferences middle/bottom. Then the SEC will prove they are the top conference. yes, this goes for all conferences not just the SEC but the SEC seems to get cart blanche from the get go and as I said earlier has to be proven to be bad. Then set the same standards for the Big East.
  9. Preseason rankings I can see, but it's 3 weeks into the season now. No team returned their full roster, so looking at the previous year when we have almost a month of performance this year is pretty faulty IMO. It would be if the team didn't live up to the expectation but they (WV) have. If they were an ACC or SEC team I know I wouldn't even be having this debate with you. It would be assumed that they belong and since they are a BE team they have to earn it, which they have IMO. I'm not saying WVU belongs out of the top 10, only that Auburn deserves to be ranked in front of them right now. If WVU had beaten a top 10 team last week while Auburn crushed a middling foe, I'd argue the other way around. Conference has nothing to do with it. I understand your point and I agree that since Auburn has beat a Top 10 they deserve credit but my problem is what if we find out LSU is a 3 or 4 loss team and Auburn stays ahead of WV because of that early win? LSU would still be better than Maryland, Eastern Michigan and Marshall. Are those teams better than Wash St., Buffalo, and Tulane? I say yes. Add to that Maryland is a rivalry game. They haven't played Buffalo or Tulane yet. There's no point in ranking a team based on their future schedule (but if we did, Auburn would win in a landslide). What we have so far is: Maryland, Eastern Michigan, Marshall vs. Washington State, Mississippi State, Louisiana State. WVU has no argument in a SOS debate with Auburn. It's not even close. Auburn deserves to be #2, WVU can argue with USC about #3.

  11. UCLA at 28 and 29. :)
  12. He made the last stuff on 3rd down. UCLA being represented well between him and Ayenbadejo. :)
  13. Rex's QB rating through 3: 163.0 :)
  14. It certainly is bugging me. I'd like to see a little more of Benson. Punch it in!
  15. Are the Cubs playing the Tigers? ;)
  16. If he doesn't, I'll blame you for jinxing him.
  17. I hope that lights a fire under the secondary.
