  1. It's because Clemens is well received by the media, Bonds isn't. I'm sure more than 6 of Grimsley's teammates did steroids.
  2. UCLA's offense is so frustrating.
  3. College. There's just something about the college atmosphere (especially basketball and football) that tops the pro game.
  4. Hail Mary time...c'mon Wazzou! Intercepted inside the 5. :( USC wins 28-22.
  5. Wazzou at midflield, 39 seconds to go!
  6. I thought the punter didn't even have a chance at it, that was a bad snap. USC has been lucky today.
  7. Wazzou with the ball at their own 23, down 28-22 with a little over a minute to go...
  8. Pretty pathetic for a team that has won 90+ games 5 of the last 6 seasons with a 102 and 103 win season in there Oakland has 400,000 people, we don't need a stadium that holds 65,000 people. The A's also wanted to get more advance sales so they could plan better, in the past, people knew they could walk up and get good seats, so that's what they did. The A's need a new baseball-only stadium. I was in Mount Davis for the 20th win in a row in 2002. That was one of the two best baseball games I've been at in terms of how great the fans were (and the other was a World Series game). Oakland fans just cannot be compared to Marlins fans.
  9. He'll be in Peoria, though he better finish be in Daytona by July-August. By the way, the NWL 5 years ago:
  10. How much will you be posting in Singapore though? I'm back and Jon better watch his back now! 14 posts at Singapore Airport and another post in Bangalore isn't too shabby.
  11. Heads better roll if UCLA loses to Stanford.
  12. 88-92!? I heard 91-94 from a few broadcasts earlier this season - his velocity and control went up after his brief spell in the bullpen (when he supposedly worked on his mechanics).
  13. The AFL starts on October 10th. Last year, MiLB.com had GameCast.
  14. I'd like to reiterate that Jon better watch his back.
  15. This is always entertaining to see:
  16. Mateo's back hurts I think. Oh that's right. Thanks.
  17. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-0609100048sep10,1,1956873.column?coll=chi-sportsnew-hed Digging around I found this article from Phil Rogers about a week ago. The HS class may be better and it is certainly deeper, but as of right now the top three players in the draft have to be college guys, IMO. My top 10 would be something like: 1. Price 2. Brackman 3. Wieters 4. Harvey* 5. Main* 6. Beavan* 7. Jackson* 8. Burgess* 9. Arencibia 10. Schmidt Dont take them too seriously, but stars are HS. With the addition of any one of those 3, the cubs farm system might have a few bonafied bluechip prospects in the making in Pawelek, Veal, and our 2007 draftee. Certainly will elevate us up in the BA ranks. By the time BA ranks the Cubs 07 draftee as part of their system, if Veal is a blue chipper, he should have graduated to the big leagues.
  18. He doesn't qualify.
  19. Can't disagree with their top three. Only one Cub-related question and they didn't even get Ceda's throwing arm correct? Weak.
  20. Dollars to doughnuts that a move to San Antonio would cause the Cubs hitting prospects to be regarded much more highly and their pitching prospects to be thought of worse. Heh, hopefully the important people who evaluate realize Pringles is a pitcher's park and the SL a pitcher's league.
  21. Brent Musburger vs. USC
