    They ended the alternating picks thing not too long ago. I thought that part fell through in final discussions to wrap up the CBA. It wasnt a deal breaker so it was left out to sign off on a complete deal. No, they dropped it two years ago.

    I'm not high on Towers, personally. I'd rather Depodesta. They're both big upgrades, though. WOW, defintely not me. Towers is such a better GM. Deposdesta is so overrated it isn't funny. I don't know you can give a guy one year to install a plan that should take 3 years and say he was terrible. True but the fact that he seemed to have no coherent plan ever in that year amkes it an easy evaulation. Being in LA and seeing some of the non national news (the everyday stuff) has led me to this belief. He switched plans more often then anyone and his relations with the fans/media are worse then Hendry You could tell most of the media here hated him.

    He's still staying with the Cubs doing interim things/league-type things. He doesn't know what he'll do next. Sounds like he was told he'd be fired.

    I am listening to Game Day Audio. Try WGN.com and see if teh live feed is up again. they wont on wgnradio.com since its still cubs MacPhail is gone i think Sounds like it.

    That was the ugliest 31-0 win I've ever seen. Oregon-Notre Dame-Cal all on the road is going to be ugly for UCLA. :(

    THAT WAS THE STUPIDEST PLAY-CALLING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. Ugh. Frankly, I want to go to the Rose Bowl and just beat up UCLA's OC. They ran a PA bootleg on 3rd and goal from the 1 and then went for it on 4th down and did a toss to the short end of the field. All this after driving up the heart for most of the drive. Awful.
