  1. Mort said that Colt Brennan is leaning towards turning pro. Reggie Nelson (a better safety than LaRon Landry, imo) is forgoing his senior season at Florida and turning pro.
  2. It's amusing to see LA turned into a Charger town this past season. Damn. Wife isn't ready yet. Luckily, the bar is only 5 minutes away. Poor LA with no NFL teams. Sounds like the Chargers plan on staying somewhere in San Diego, though National City, Chula Vista and Oceanside (the bidders) are not better options than just building a new stadium right next to Jack Murph....err, Qualcomm Stadium. Are they all easy as Petco to get to? No, National City and Chula Vista are the southernmost incorporated cities before Tijuana while Oceanside is on the border of Camp Pendleton (i.e. closer to Orange County than Downtown San Diego).

Geez...National City, Chula Vista or Oceanside? The Padres got lucky to get Downtown/Gas Lamp. I agree that Mission Valley would be better for the whole county than one of the extreme ends of the county.

  5. Who do you have starting at Iowa? Cedeno? Certainly - no one at West Tenn last year would really be deserving to start at SS for Iowa. An EPatt-Cedeño DP combo would be interesting.
  6. I shall be here...decided not to deal with the traffic/ice () and go to the local Bears bar in Burbank.
  7. SATURDAY: Culiacan lost 2-1, box, best-of-seven series tied 1-1: 3B C. McGehee 1/4, K (7) Playoffs: 9/30, .300/.417/.433/.850, 4 2B, 7 K, 6 BB, 2 E Regular Season: 74/247, .300/.365/.425/.790, 7 HR, 10 2B, 27 BB, 33 K, 1/3 SB, 11 E
  8. Bear Down, Chicago Bears. Make every play clear the way to victory! Bear Down, Chicago Bears. Put up a fight with a might so fearlessly! We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation, With your T formation. Bear Down, Chicago Bears. And let them know why you're wearing the crown. You're the pride and joy, of all Illinois. Chicago Bears, Bear Down!
  9. I think the Cardinals will finish ahead of the Cubs, so no.

  12. Bears/Giants? The Giants game last week? I'm confused... The Bears/Giants thread where you were criticizing the Bears. They were laying an egg till you started up, then they took off for the blow out once you got most of the Bears fans riled up against you.
  13. Navegantes beat the Tigres 7-6 in 10 innings, box: SS T Pérez 0/3, 2 K (4) SS R. Cedeño 1/4, HR (3), 3 RBI, K (9) Overall (Playoffs): Tomás Pérez (Navegantes): 8/35, .229/.275/.257/.532, 3 BB, 4 K, 1 2B, 0/1 SB, 1 E Ronny Cedeño (Tigres): 10/38, .263/.302/.632/.934, 3 BB, 9 K, 3 HR, 1 3B, 3 2B, 1/1 SB, 0 E
  14. FRIDAY: Culiacan wins 2-1, box, leads best-of-seven series 1-0: 3B C. McGehee 0/3, BB (6), K (6) Playoffs: 8/26, .308/.438/.462/.900, 4 2B, 6 K, 6 BB, 2 E Regular Season: 74/247, .300/.365/.425/.790, 7 HR, 10 2B, 27 BB, 33 K, 1/3 SB, 11 E
  15. I'm officially nervous. Won't get anything accomplished between now and 10 am PT tomorrow.
  16. Here's hoping your Bears fare better than Carolina did the last time the Seahawks played an NFC playoff game. I'm pretty sure the Panthers were sitting at home watching the last time the Seahawks played an NFC playoff game. Oops. Serves me right for trying to sound cryptic. Go Bears. Is what I meant. Why thank you ndistops. I wouldn't root for the Panthers in the same situation. So I guess you are a better man. Based on the Giants game, it might not be a good thing that ndistops is rooting for the Bears.
  17. I'll answer the question after the Bears game. :finally starting to get nervous: :?
  18. No one will be able to hear your clapping and the crowd noise will be decreased because of that. Go without gloves, we're only talking about a temp that feels like it's in the 20s.
  19. I didn't understand the punting strategy there.
  20. And he'll probably get the chance to play more CF this year in Peoria since Camp (the other CF in Boise) is converting to the infield.
  21. Another compelling case for the AFC's dominance.
