  1. Shame on the two of you who voted for Stephen A. Smith.
  2. I guess it's being in LA, but Plaschke.
  3. I never thought Ben Howland looked like Jason Alexander till today, and now I'll think of it everytime I see him. Damn you all!
  4. He had very good numbers, but apparently needed to show a little more love. What do you mean? Just because he chased a heckling fan in the stands, destroyed a bathroom, hit a fan and a photographer with balls thrown into the stands, charged the mound numerous times, verbally destroyed NBC reporter Hannah Storm, chased egg-throwing teenagers in his car on Halloween, basically murdered Fernando Vina, and stalked his ex-girlfriend doesn't mean anything. :-D Don't forget that he corked his bat and it was somehow stolen from the umps and then returned. And I won't have anyone knocking Jay Buhner. Back around 1995, I thought he was so cool.
  5. Not to change the subject from talentless midgets, but why is Jason Alexander in your avatar? :D Grrr...
  6. Meh, Josh Shipp has a slight tear in his hamstring and is out for the USC game on Saturday morning. Looks like Mike Roll will start and Ben Howland wouldn't say if Shipp would be out any longer. :|
  7. It's been pretty obvious for a while now that the Cubs aren't that enamored with Fontenot.
  8. His explanation is that Rex is more concerned about the where the next party is than what the next job is. Dear God please tell me that he didn't really say that. Please. He most certainly did.
  9. You're quickly becoming one of my favorite posters (don't stop talking about Florida basketball).
  10. The funny thing is that Miami just got burned by a "college coach"...why would they go after another one? After a couple of losing season some college school would come after Carroll and he'd probably go right back to it...not sure why you'd want to travel that road again if you're Miami. The difference being that Carroll is a former NFL coach and assistant while Saban wasn't (to my knowledge) Nick Saban used to be an assistant coach with the Browns and Oilers.
  11. Tigres lost 4-3, box: SS R. Cedeño 1/4, 2B (8), K (34) Overall: Ronny Cedeño (Tigres): 36/157, .229/.298/.369/.667, 1 HBP, 17 BB, 34 K, 4 HR, 1 3B, 8 2B, 0/6 SB, 4 E
  12. I could see that with Florida and LSU, but I can't follow you there with Arkansas or Auburn. I think Arkansas and Auburn (especially Auburn) could beat USC or OSU. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/scoreboard?confId=null&weekNumber=1&seasonYear=2006 hater You guys are the one making me defend USC! USC!!!

  14. Alex Gordon without a doubt, I prefer him to Delmon Young. Pitchers are too risky and guys like Maybin are too far away.
  15. Culiacan wins 3-2, box: 3B C. McGehee 2/4, RBI, 2 K (3) Playoffs: 6/16, .375/.500/.563/1.063, 3 2B, 3 K, 4 BB, 2 E Regular Season: 74/247, .300/.365/.425/.790, 7 HR, 10 2B, 27 BB, 33 K, 1/3 SB, 11 E
  16. Thanks, Illini Iceman. That's exactly the breakdown I had, based on those ESPN and BA articles.
  17. Tigres beat the Leones 8-0, box: C H. Blanco 1/3 SS R. Cedeño 2/4, 4 R, 4 RBI, HR (4), 3B (1), BB (17), K (33), CS (6) Overall: Henry Blanco (Leones): 45/197, .228/.288/.320/.608, 2 HBP, 17 BB, 27 K, 3 HR, 9 2B, 2/3 SB, 3 E Ronny Cedeño (Tigres): 35/153, .229/.299/.366/.665, 1 HBP, 17 BB, 33 K, 4 HR, 1 3B, 7 2B, 0/6 SB, 4 E --- Angel Guzmán (Navegantes): 25.2 IP, 8 R, 6 ER, 18 H, 24 K/4 BB, 2 HR, 2.10 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 26 GO-24 FO Maybe Ronny's coaches shouldn't allow him to steal bases?
  18. Licey loses to Aguilas 7-0: SP C. Marmol 2.2 IP, 4 ER, 5 H, 3 K/1 BB, 1 HR - reliever allowed one of his runs in after he left the game Overall: Carlos Marmol (Licey): 11.1 IP, 11 ER, 13 H, 10 K/4 BB, 1 HR, 8.74 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
  19. If I were you, I'd give up those tickets. You wouldn't want to risk seeing the Bears lose. It might ruin your day. Plus, you'd miss 24!
  20. FOX. I edited the first post with all the info.
  21. Every game he's been in, he's started.
  22. Haha, no late hit? Woo, touchdown Giants!
  23. That's not holding, sheesh.

  25. Everything I heard from Cubs brass is that this reported deal never happened....at least not the $7 million part....for what its worth... Do you have any info on what he did sign for? For what it's worth, my informatin was based from ESPN and Baseball America.
